Stock CD Player won't turn on.

Hi Jesse,

Since you have done this numerous times, so you know the installation process. It seems there's something wrong with the aftermarket CD player, try replacing it with another one.

Bmw 2006 5 series touring multi cd player problems

I had the same problem with an installed CD player. 3 choices. 1: disconnect the plug on the back of the unit to stop the power drain. 2: Install a battery kill switch to turn off the batteries connection to the circuit and stop the power drain. 3: find the fuse for that cd player and pull it out!
If all that fails than it's not your cd player!

I "stupidly" put two disc

I think your best option is to take the top off and see if you can straighten the pin.

If not then you may need to replace one or both of the trays.

Tray 1 Part No. PNW2709 around $30.00

Tray 2 Part No. PNW1840 around $12.50

I have a Rowe Ami cd 100 that we just got.The cd,s skip-music starts and stops, and it seems like the machine is not reading them [sometimes it picks a cd and returns it to rack].Anyone have any...

Hello,

Did you lock down the jukebox mechanism (caurosel) during transportation?

Make sure that all the plugs that go to the all the circuit boards are fully seated, Unplug each in turn and plug back in MAKE SURE YOU UNPLUG THE JUKBOX FIRST if this does not sort out your problem look at the microswitches on the transfer motor (this is the mptor that tranfers the CD onto the deck) the spades on the microswitches are uninsulated so they can short out if pressed together.

The other main problem with Rowe Ami is that the boards are prone to the connection pins having dry joints (cold joints in the USA) on the soldinging to these connection pins.

It may be as well having all the boards tested by a Rowe Ami specialist.
In the USA the best guy is Bruce Wentworth (search for his details on Ebay by putting in Bruce Wentworth jukebox) or you could contact me in the UK.

My Wharfedale CD player just seemed to stop working one day,

Your friends are probably right however the correct term is the laser alignment is off or it just conked out. If you aren't afraid, open the case to see if there is any debris in the cd drive. Go to an office supply store and pick up a can of computer duster.

I have a stanton-vestax cd-11 dual cd player, and was wondering how to get a cd to play on it. I put one in, turned the player on, pushed all the buttons and nothing happened. how does it work?

I have had one of these for many years: Switch it on, you must make sure the two transit screws at the back of each deck are fully unscrewed and loose, let the machine displays settle down, then insert a CD, then press the 'reset' button. There is a built-in delay of about 11 seconds before the deck begins to read. After this the machine should then display the first track number, and pressing the big red button will start play.

Pressing the 'reset' button again stops playback and the CD spins down, but if you leave the CD in there it will eventually re-index and cue up again. This feature is to enable fast, one-button CD changing and it works very well in practice, as the 11 second delay is enough time to take one CD out and get another in there before it tries to read it again.

To stop playback just press the 'reset' button (this is the most used button!) and take out the CD. After the delay, the machine will try to read a CD as normal, but display 'no CD' on the display. There is no stop button, as this unit was designed for continuous use in a club or disco.

Hope this helps. :)

CD Player

I'm currently having the same problem. Take the face plate off. Use a pin to reset the stereo. It'll probably stop working again, but at least you'll be able to get your cd out and take it somewhere to have the stereo fixed or replace. (STAY AWAY FROM JVC!)
