I purchased Logitech Harmony 1000 . 2 actually,one has the p/N #'s etc. The other they scratched the #'s out. Will i still be able to use both of them. Do u pay to make an acct.?

It´s very simple to disassemby it, you need to force with a little screwdriver as shown in these images.

I would advise you do a firmware update. With anything, if you can remove the batteries and get it to work, the firmware is usually the fix that will resolve the issue. If you dont know how to do a firmware update, just look at the link below!

If your remote has been deemed defective by logitech, there is a reasn for this. I would suggest you go back to your point of sale for a replacement. logitechs warranty isnt transferrable between customers. their warrant only covers the first year of use with the remote.
