American Standard Toilet Tank 4021.016.020 Logo

I hear noises and feel vibration from the wall behind the toilet tank. When I lift up the toilet water tank cover or flush the toilet, the noise and wall vibration stops. However, the same noises and vibration go on and off all day long.

Your ball **** needs replacement (water control valve), Also your flapper or tilt valve disk is leaking water through it and it needs replacement also.

Toilet stools whistle after flushing

This could be caused by the sound of water jetting into the water tank. Just open the tap to the water tank slightly more until the whistling stops. The flusher valve in the tank may be leaking, causing the water jet to open again and the whistling noise.

NOISY SANIFLO

Always an issue, guessing it is on a tiled floor? or up against a tiled wall?

I put some thin foam / Bubble wrap underneath and behind mine to dampen the vibrations. It also helps if you box the unit in and use foam to quieten the noise (on top and around the unit). Depending upon how long you have had it, it may also need a clean out or possibly even the motor bearings are getting a bit worn, creating some noise with the excess movement.

Good Luck

My dual flush toilet fills up slowly how do i fix

Lift the tank lid off, place it somewhere safe for a moment, and look at what happens: If you're talking about jiggling the handle to get the tank to start to fill with water, then it sounds like the chain or rope is out of adjustment. It can't be TOO TIGHT or the water will leak past your flapper (will cause your dripping noise, tank water level will leak down, causing constant refills), and it cant be TOO LOOSE or the toilet won't flush correctly. Since you didn't mention trouble flushing the toilet, I think that it may be a little too TIGHT. When you jiggle the flush lever-it is supposed to pull a chain or cable to open the flapper at the bottom of the tank. Flush the tank and watch what happens-all the way through to refilling the tank with water and shutting off the water refill valve-Does the flapper get stuck on the chain or something? It is supposed to fall back down to allow the tank to refill after flushing out your toilet. Does the chain look very loose? The dripping sound you described indicates that the flapper is not sealing 100%. The flapper is very easy to replace, you just have to get the adjustment set for when you flush the toilet how sensitive you need it. You amy have to play with it a little bit before you get the adjustment correct.

Hope this helps!

I need to poop

Please proceed to the bathroom. Lift the toilet lid. Drop your pants, Then sit on the toilet. Push as hard as you can until you hear noise. Once it feels like you don't have to go anymore, grab some tissue to your right or left and wipe your rear. Throw tissue in toilet water and flush. Thank you and please rate XD

My American Standard toilet flushes okay but when it is filling up the water will not stop running unless I lift the top and depress the lever.

Replace the fill valve. You can pick one up[ at Home dep or Lowes for about 20 buks. Close your angle stop at wall behind toilet. Drain all water from tank then remove supply loine from under tank. Then unscrew fill valve and remove gasket and all. Remember to put gasket in new one. :)

Downstairs toilet won't stop filling, upstairs toilet won't fill

for the upstairs if the valve is fully on there is not much you can do other than replace water service to the house or heaven forbid repipe.Valves usually don't restrict fill volume. But you can take the supply loose from the tank and stick it in a bucket turn the valve on and check the flow.this should narrow it down.Down stairs repair or replace flush valve

Noise of flush water

You have two issues inside of the toilet tank. The holding down the button is caused by your chain not being tight enough from the handle to the flapper. Take the slack out of that and replace the flapper. The second is that you need to replace the fill valve. This is what is making the noise when the tank is being refilled, and will have to be adjusted after it is installed.
