I keep getting a battery depleted message

I keep getting a ''battery depleted'' message even when the batteries are fully charged. The camera stops focussing and the shutter won''t work. Switching the camera off and back on seems to fix this

I just bought this camera and experienced the same problem with AA alkaline cells. I switched them out for expensive lithium CR-V3 batteries (recommended in the manual) and it seems to work fine. The manual indicates that alkaline AA cells may not provide full functionality, although I'm really not sure why.

How to extend the battery life of Razor Scooter Batteries

You can extend the life of your scooter's battery if you take proper care of it. Most people report trouble in getting more than a year or two out of their razor scooter battery set. This is actually a common problem with vehicle batteries.

  • Keep your battery charged
It is recommended to keep your battery fully charged to avoid the build-up of sulfate-ion inside it. Sulfate-ion accumulates when the battery is in a discharged state for a long time. This is the most common reason of premature depletion of lead acid batteries. This can be easily avoided if the scooter battery is kept in a constantly charged state.

  • Charge you Razor Scooter Battery during the Off-Season
Even if not used Sealed Lead Acid Batteries will self discharge over long periods. This will leave the battery in a not fully charges state which will enable the sulfate-ions to build up inside the internal plates which will slowly deplete the battery's capacity. In order to prevent that, you should charge the razor scooter battery at least once every three months when it is not in service.

  • Use a Battery Tender
Battery Tender chargers are a great way extend the life of your SLA batteries as they are designed to fully charge and maintain a battery at proper storage voltage without the damaging effects caused by trickle chargers.

My camera won't turn on? Its been awhile!

Try to fully charge the battery, preferably in an exterior charging unit. If the battery doesn't take a charge properly ( depletes quickly) it can stop a camera from starting.

If you already tried that here is a link to some YouTube repair tips:

The battery does not charge anymore

Usually, the battery life can (quickly) decrease if your GPS is always plugged into a power source (even when not in use).
Like all such (lithium) batteries, to keep the battery healthy, it's better to charge it fully, then use / deplete it fully (while not plugged into a power source) and repeat the charge cycle.
If your battery doesn't charge anymore, you'll just have to use the GPS while it is plugged in. If that is even not possible (because the device actually use the battery to power it, and not the direct current from the charger), you may want to consider replacing the battery. Or, replace your GPS.

Battery will not charge

li-Ion batteries have a bad habit: whenever fully depleted, they lose a few cells, to the extent that they might not be able to hold a full charge if enough cells are damaged. In other words, repeatedly using a laptop (or any other Li-Ion powered device) to battery depletion can shorten the battery's life significantly. You might want to keep the batteries fully charged whenever possible and avoid fully depleting them too often.
There is also the habit of "re-setting" the batteries by using the "fully deplete-fully charge" procedure. It only applies to niMH or NiCD batteries ( and is used to erase the "memory effect" ) but is damaging to Li-Ion batteries for the reason mentioned above.
so if your battery can not full charge, this mean you need change a new battery for your laptop

When I try to take a picture it say battery depleted....what is the meaning of that

this usually means that the battery needs to be replaced or recharged. if the battery if fully charged it maybe that the rating of the battery is too low and the internal system decides that the battery power level even when fully charged is not enough for the taking of pictures.

try and battery with a higher ah rating. if the battery is a vendor specific block battery and not the usual. off the shelf aa and aaa type etc then speak to your dealer about the problem or a replacement battery. it would be useful to know the model of the camera in question.

i hope this was helpful

My Z812 keeps telling me I need to reset the date/time every time I turn it on, even if I have just done it. Also drawing batteries very quickly (lithium, camera type)

It may only happen enter date and time if you remove the battery in the camera., If your not removing the batteru out of the camera you should not recieved that message, unless battery is out of charge or no power.

You should use this battery Kodak Li-Ion rechargeable battery KLIC-8000. This is a special battery for Z812 camera,

Note: You must also need to purchase a charger for this type of battery.
I guarantee you it will provide stable longer power for on your camera

I was given a nice sony handycam camcorder. i was told the battery is probley dead

Batteries have a limited life even if they are constantly charged.
Leaving batteries in constant charge will limit their life by causing gas leakage. Once depleted, they must be replaced. There is also a small button battery that keeps unit memory up, if you do not use camera for months at a time, replace this battery also.
Ni-Cad batteries need to be refreshed ony once a month by discharging them fully, then recharging them fully for best performance to erase memory effect
