Bose 123 system and Samsung LED TV problem.....

You can use a Optical to Analog audio adaptor (found all over the internet for under $30). You'll also need an optical cable that goes between the adaptor and TV. Be sure to set the audio output on the TV settings to PCM audio output, otherwise there will be no output.

i have the same problem. we need to tell the tv that it is getting a signal from an s video scart. but how?

It sounds to me like the Bose 123 is to blame not the speakers. I think you can test the speakers by connecting a 1.5 volt battery for a short while (few seconds) accross any of the speakers terminals. Disconected from the amp. If they are working it will go POP
If it's the Bose itself then the main amp inside has failed.

To view a DVD in the Bose system on the TV, connect an HDMI cable (or composite-Yellow, Red, White) to the back of the Bose system (output) and the other end to the input on the back of the TV.

If you have a cable box or satellite and want to get the audio on the Bose system, connect an RCA (white and red) cable to the back of the Bose system (input) and the output on the back of the cable box/TV/satellite.

Switch channels on Bose as needed. Good luck!

... According to their manuals. The TV is new so it should cover that end. Bose.com covers the other.

(because Bose is small & easy to carry around)...
((probably new & still under warranty))...
For the reasons stated... I would try the BOSE
first... (however)

"HUM' in an audio circuit (usu. listening to LINE
Current) is caused by TWO electrical conditions:
- Shabby wire routing
- CHEESY capacitors...

I have written a BOOK-FULL of complaints
about SAMSUNG'S quality ($$) decision to use
inexpensive ... CAPACITORS... (in my opinion).

Over the years... I have recognized that SAMSUNG
has become the poster child for bright pictures,
competitive prices... and high FAILURE RATES for
cheesy capacitors...

Good news...
Because of their competitive prices... They are
quite popular... SPARE PARTS... and REPAIR
kits on AMAZON (and litigation) bearing the
SAMSUNG name have been quite interesting...

Thusly...
SAMSUNG PARTS ABOUND... (as needed)...

By no means am I saying SAMSUNG is alone in these DECISIONS ... I'll only say BOSE is not a likely
candidate for MARGINAL PERFORMANCE, design
or CONSTRUCTION.

i have phoned bose the tv sensor will not work with led tvs becouse they do not transmitt enough power for the sensor to pick it up

You may have to go into the bose setup and select optical in for that particular input. Check your user manuel it should say in it.

You will not have any luck, The Screen only uses RF for control. As far as I know there is no IR receiver on the unit or any RS232!! A nightmare for integrating this product into universal control systems.

Put the TV channel selector on SVHS.
