you mean cd/dvd rom? if so, try using a needle. there is a hole below the tray. use that needle to push the needle in the hole... just push the open button then push the needle in the hole to open the cd tray. ty
Generally there is a small hole under the tray. (The tray is where the disk sits in)
You may have a eMachines desktop computer, where there is an outer door which flips down, and the tray slides out. Ease the outer door down, and see if the optical drive unit (CD/DVD drive) has a small hole under the tray.
If not then unplug the computer from power, observe Anti-Static Precautions, and open the computer case. Remove the Front Panel. (Plastic front of computer. Now remove the optical drive, and open it up.
I need the Model Number of your eMachines to be more detailed. Post in a Comment.
Hi, On the front of most CD or DVD drives there is a small pin hole that you can use to open the drive if it gets stuck. Grab yourself a strong paper clip, straighten one end, insert the straight bit into the hole and push firmly once you feel some resistance. This will partly open the drive tray to either allow you to remove a cd or insert a new cd or dvd. Question, Is there a light lit on the front of the drive when you are: a. trying to eject (instead of using the front button on the drive try using the "Right Click and then Eject" option when selecting the dvd drive in My Computer), If not the drive may be stuffed (broken) or perhaps the 4 pin power connection lead at the rear of the dvd drive has fallen out. b. is the drive tray sticky when opening or closing? (get a new drive...very easy and very cheap to buy and replace) Good luck, Steve (Melbourne,Australia)
There is a small pin hole below the tray. Straighten a paper clip and gently push it in this hole. The tray will unlock and pop out slightly, then pull the tray out and remove the DVD disc.
with your computer power turned off, use a straight mini-kabob pin (or sturdy paper clip) to manually let out the DVD drive tray. There is a little hole under the drive tray door that accepts this kind of tool device. Another option is to massage the door while trying to eject the DVD drive tray. This method requires your computer to be turned on and by selecting the proper drive (E:) from the My Computer in Start Menu, you then "Eject" and can push in on the door and on the corners, enabling the DVD drive tray to open.
Most CD/DVD drives have a tiny hole just below the tray. Straighten a paper clip in gently insert it into this hole and push it in. The tray will slide out slightly, just grab the tray and pull it out to the open position.
Hi, Unfold a large paper clip and look for a small pinhole under the tray(the part that opens to put your cd in). Put the paper clip into the hole and push firmly. CD/DVD tray will open.
Also you can try going to my computer then right click on your cd/dvd rom icon. Then left click on eject.
