It is a MEDION TV with the Samsung Panel in it. After opening the set I found an "exploded" IC (U5502) on Y-Buffer LJ41-02761A R1.3. Took the Buffer away but still there is noch "halfpicture" on the screen. But I feel that on the Y-Main LJ41-02759A the IC (U5016) gets pretty hot. Does anybody have an idea if it is sufficient to replace the lower Buffer or do have to replace even the Y-Main also (would cost a lot of money).

I have a 42 inch gateway plasma t.v model# p420142v5. the problem is, i have several lines running down (vertical).some are 1inch apart some up to 5 inches apart.
If you go to www.encompassparts.com and click on guest log in and do a part number search with the numbers you have listed, except use LJ41-02761A, and it will give you the cost and such.

Thanks, but my problem is to decide which board I should replace. Is it sufficient to replace only the lower Y-Buffer or do I have to replace also the Y-Main Board. The decision is hard because these board are very costly (500 ?).
Again the sound works fine, there is no picture. I measured all voltages of the power supply. They are ok. On Logic Main board there are 2 green LED, the right once is steady on, left one is blinking. No idea what that means.

Hello folks, thanks for your help. I could repair the Plasma by changing the Y-Main board and the lower Y-Buffer. Too bad the spare boards are very expensive. I paid round about 350,--?. Now I will try to repair the Y-Main board which has some problem around the IC U5016 (Power FET-Switch) which gets real hot. There are 2 of these switches on the board U5016 and U5012 and U5012 is of normal temp. The big problem is to redesign because their is so juch printing on the board that is hard to follow the contacting lines. If somebody already had the same problem and got some experience I would be real happy to hear what I could do.
