Even though you have internet, have you connected a phone line? Most fax machines/software rely on the phone line. I don't know how you are sending a fax. If you are sending a fax directly from an all-in-one, you'll need to connect the phone line to the back of that device. If you're sending a fax using a program on the computer, you'll need to connect the phone to the back of the computer.

You can temporarily disconnect your land-line phone and connect it to the all-in-one or computer. Just remember to reconnect it when you are done so you can receive phone calls.

I hope this helps!

My fax will not send. the report says fax sent and the result is no answer

Sounds rather conflicted...any way, first step "send" a fax to a phone that rings (cell phone, phone near the fax). Make sure that the phone you are calling rings, if not plug a phone in to the fax line and make sure you have a dial tone. If you do try to change the phone line on the fax and repeat. Basicly this step is to ensure the fax is dialing out.

Next, dial the number you are faxing to with your cell phone or another phone. Does the fax machine at the other end answer (squaking noises). If not are you dialing the right number. If the fax machine at the other end does pick up, hang up and wait a few mins (so the line will clear) and try to send your fax again.

Try sending a test fax to a known good (have sent faxes to the number before with success) fax. If this works, its a communication hand shake error. You may need to power cycle both fax machines.

Last Test, plug a different fax machine in were this one is. Using the same phone line and such try to fax again. If this is the only thing that works, the fax machine may have a bad modem.

If further information on testing the modem on the HP fax is needed let me know.

I hope one of these step gives you the help and information you are looking for.

I'm getting an error mesage: ECM error on my Sharp AR-M207 fax machine. How can I fix it?

ECM (Error Correction Mode) is a feature common in most fax machines today. It helps to minimize errors while transmitting faxes over noisy phone lines.

1) Be sure you have the latest version of the drivers installed
2) Turn the fax off, then unplug for 10 minutes, turn on and try again. This should clear up anything in the printer/fax memory
3) Check if your phone line is unsually noisy when you tried to send the fax(es) that gave you the error message. If this is the case, a sucessful fax transmission will be almost impossible. You may have a faulty phone line or an improper installation. Either of these two should be fixed by your phone company. Also, most phoen companies can test your phone line (for fre) remotely to check for abnormally high noise levels.

Please, report back if you need further assistance.

Status Code 19

Look in you menus. Your log print out is probably set to on and set to print out way to frequently. You can turn that feature off.
You can go to Xerox.com, click on Support and drivers. In the search box type in 116 then go to support and then type in Log, There should be an answer there as to how to shut off log printing. You cold also type in code 19 when you get to the support page.

FaxJet 335, tx error

call the number manually . and does it answer with a warble immediately or does the phone ring a lot and then answer.
your timeout may be set too short on the sending fax setup.
