Orange Tinge on Color Prints

What! This is the third time I am doing this. Please refund my money. I will repeat this problem one more time and then if I am returned to this screen, then give me my money back. I get an orange and pinkish tinge on my color prints. What shall I do.  I have already tried deep cleaning. Tom

I'll bet you need a new print head. I had all the same symptoms.I tried cleaning it, Ultrasound, etc but the big black head was dead. Try ebay for a new one or stateside they appear good value. This fixed my problem. (my machine is 3 years old and this seems to be the age they go at from other problems here.

Good luck

Mike

Hello. Pictures on my S220 are coming out with a tinge of pink. Have reset it to factory default settings but problem still exists. Any help is most appreciated.

Hi.

The tinge pink, often coming with kind of streaky shadows of blur means that you have a defective CCD sensor. The CCD sensor is the image sensor located directly behind the optics. The pink color is typical effect of this fault.

There were recalls issued for several models. I don't think the S220 was included in the recall, but give it a try calling the Nikon support number listed in the camera manual (Canon and Nikon stopped recalling and refunding for this problem in 1998).
Ask Nikon details on repair procedure. You can also get a quote from a third party repair here: Repair.

Regards.

New ink cartridges installed and sometimes prints with missing horizontal areas(blank lines about 1/8 inch thick 20 plus randome down the page. The next time printing may be fine. Color is washed out...

Replace the print heads for the coloured inks you replaced, run the align printer head diagnotic from the printer menu. This should correct the print problem.

Try 3 time to unlock my orange htc hero but failed. On the web it says maybe orange have special code and not generic. Can you help

Contact orange tech support on 150 ask them for unlock code. They will charge you around GBP 20 for it. Don't use unlock codes from other vendors as Orange has custom locks and others wont be able to unlock it.

Pixma IP4000 Printer

OK, Canon will hate me for posting this!!!!!

Remove cartridges.
Remove print head.
Go to sink or tub (stianless steel, not pastic type), pick up roll of paper towel on the way.
Fold several layers of paper towel and place on flat surface.
Run HOT water till HOT.
Turn hot water to dribble.
Run hot water through print head, careful not to wet contacts.
When water is clear coming through print head, place print head on paper towel.
Repeat process until no colour on paper towel.
DAB print head (DO NOT WIPE) inside and out to dry.
You may wish to let print head air dry overnight but I replace it after drying.
Replace print head in printer and replace cartridges.
Start printing again
I do this on all my Canon printrs every 6 months

IP4000 Color Printing Problem

If you have a monochrome option, I would use that.
I'm guessing that your old black and white photo's (which I'm thinking you scanned in may have a sepia tinge which the printer is emphasizing, and if you only want black/white prints, no need to print with colour.
