My mp3 says file format error when I try to listen to the music.

It's possible that the file type of the music file(s) you are trying to listen to are not a supported format of your mp3 player. Your player only supports MP3 and WMA audio formats. You should check the music files you are tying to play to confirm they are of a compatible format.

I am trying to play music from a micro sd card and my cell phone says no music is on the card. When I put the card in the computer it shows that thier is music on the card.

Hi you need to check what format of music your phone uses some only use MP3 some use WMA then all you need to do is convert the music on your memory card into the correct format you can this by using google and just search like this
how to convert wma to mp3
then hit search and that will list loads of sites that will let you convert it for free to the correct format,

if the music is from i tunes then it wont let you play it on the phone as you have to download it using the phone itself to play music from i tunes if its just normal music on your computer then it should just transfer but you need to get it in the correct format first

most phones use the mp3 format so you could try converting them all to that first, also does your phone recognise the mem card is it formated to your phone can you say transfer a picture on your phone onto the memory card if you can do that then the memory card is ok if it wont let you then you need to format the card to the format your phone accepts such as fat 16 or fat 32 you need to check this with your phones details

let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

please rate this solution, thanks

Got sd card and installed music from computer ,plugged into phone but when i go to music player it shows no songs on card, how ever when put back tocomputer songs show up and play

Your Samsung Hue can only play MP3 encoded files (extension mp3). If you have taken music that has been ripped using the windows media player, the default rip settings put the tracks into windows media audio format (wma) which your phone cannot read. You'll need to find a free wma to mp3 converter and convert your files to load onto your phone. You can also set Windows Media Player to default to MP3 when ripping under the Tools|Options menu item. Look under the RIP tab and change the default format to MP3. If you are already using MP3, it is possible that you are using to high of a Kbs rate on your MP3's in which case you'll need to be sure you rip tracks in a lower Kbs rate (also under the RIP tab in Windows Media Player). Here is a link to a free WMA to MP3 converter...
