Yourprinter ink has spiltonto the main ICU and needs to cleaned thoroughly. This is a job for a technician. The ink is all over the roller. It will only get worse. It now needs a techy to cleanproperly.

Hi I have a LG RZ42px11 there are 6 vertical thick black lines running down the middle off the screen, when cold the TV seems OK but if it has been on for around 10mins or on standby the lines stay on screen.

NO, I DID NOT GET IT FIXED. YOU TOLD ME TO SCAN SOMETHING TO THE PC, WHICH I DID. SENT PAGE TO MICROSOFT WORD AND THE BLACK LINE WAS STILL THERE. I BELIEVE MY SOLUTION IS TO JUNK THIS THING AND BUY ANOTHER.

Clean the nozzles, align the print heads, turn it off for about an hour. You may need to do this twice, but it works for me.

I have same problem. Toshiba 42' hl196 purchased 4/07 line appeared 1 year and 9 months researched on Toshiba thread. Bad LCD screen. Repair cost more than tv-have to replace lcd screen. I didn't get the extended warranty. If still under warranty get hold of toshiba. Lot of people having same problem. Should get aclass action lawsuit started selling defective LCD screens. If these are thick black lines, this is most likely line frequency noise entering the set. you may have a leakage from the DC ground on the secondary side of the powersupply to the AC side, or a bad filter capacitor(s). Most of the time it is the filter caps that give these types of problems. If you are connected to cable TV service, or an outside antenna you can also have this problem from an AC ground loop return. Also if there is a device such as a VCR connected to the TV and it has problems, it can cause this as well...
