SOURCE: need to reset to factory setting

Press reset button on back of unit AFTER system has fully booted (time will be displayed) and your system will be back to default values - password = applianceadmin.

You can also re-image the drive to factory defaults.

SOURCE: reset HP 7110 to factory settings

usually setting your computer to a date before the expiration date of the cartridge. If your printer has a date function try this first on your printer.

Printers - donate or destroy and trash

Many printers do store the last page printed, this can be cleared by printing a blank page. Generally though, printers have no way of storing mass amounts of personal data. If your printer has an LCD display built-in you can look for a factory reset option.

Try to reset the factory settings: Go to Settings tab and press the Resets option. This will change all the settings to default factory settings. Try to print using another OS and check if there is a difference in the print quality. Try to print in draft mode and in FastRes 1200 mode. Tip and tricks for all deskjet setup

turn on/off, unplug, plug in

, should reset configs.

go to applications folder for your computer, dbl click printer icon for make of printer. check settings. print 'test document and clean cartridge heads', this should ensure proper printing formats.

lastly, go to web site of printer model and check site for trouble shooting if this does not work above. HP has an awesome web site for trouble shooting if all else fails

Hi,

Try the resetting the printer to factory defaults.

Steps:

1.Turn the Printer OFF, unplug the power cabled from the back of the printer and from the wall outlet.

2.Then, Press and hold the ON button for 30 -60 seconds

3.Take the Ink Cartridges out, Unplug the printer power cable while its ON, press and hold CANCEL and COLOR COPY button and connect the Power cord while holding the buttons.keep Holding the buttons until the printer goes off ,release the button and Push the ON button.
