How to Format the System Memory Wii and Wii mini Nintendo Support

Make sure you have created a NEW internet connection in your Wii System settings. Since you have changed your service, your old connection settings will no longer work. Go to your system settings from your main Wii menu, and select internet connection to set up a new one.
If you have already tried to set up a new connection and still cannot connect to the internet, make sure your router security settings allow your Wii to connect to your wireless internet.

Your WII is probably very dusty on the inside and the disc reader can't get a good read on the game. You can buy a lens cleaning kit from Nintendo which should solve the problem. I've posted the link to this product underneath.

To get to wii shop channel first you need to configure your system
Configure your Nintendo Wii for a wireless Internet connection. The only way to access the Wii Shop is by having an Internet connection and a wireless router. The Nintendo Wii has a built-in wireless router that can pick up signals from wireless Internet connections. Make sure that your wireless Internet router is close enough so that the Nintendo Wii can pick up a signal.

Loading Wii Shop;
Use your Wii remote to select the Wii Shop from the main Wii channel menu. The Wii Shop is located in the top right-hand corner of the screen. If your Internet access is not set up yet, then you will be prompted and automatically brought to the Internet Configuration menu. Once your Internet is set up, you will either be brought back to the Wii Shop or the main channel menu.

Navigating the Main Menu
Look at the main Wii Shop menu. Here you will be given two main options with a couple of general options at the bottom of the screen. The first option is to look for games for the virtual console. The Virutal Console contains games from past systems like Turbo Grafx 16, NEOGEO, NES, Super Nintendo and Nintendo 64. Once you have loaded the virtual console menu, you can search games by most popular title, new titles, system, genre or price. When you have found a game that you are interested in, press the "A" button to see a more detailed description with a couple of screen shots, and find out how many Wii Points the game costs.

Wii Points
Purchase Wii Points directly through the Wii Shop by using a credit or debit card. You will use the Wii remote to point and select all of the card holder information. The minimum amount of Wii Points you can buy is 1,000 for $10, so if you want a game for 700 Wii Points, then you will have 300 points left over for future purposes. Instead of using a credit card through the Wii store, you can purchase a Wii Points card at a local retailer. These cards come in different point values, and 100 points represents a dollar.

Downloading the Software
Finalize your game purchase by confirming how many Wii Points will be deducted from your account. Once you have done this, the game download will begin. While it only takes a few minutes to download, you can see the progress by watching a Mario character jump and hit a brick. Once he has reached the third brick, your download is complete. From there, you can continue to shop in the Wii Shop or play the game.

Wii Ware
Check out the other option that is labeled as "Wii Ware." Wii Ware is a lot like the Virtual Console, but everything created here is new and original for the Wii. The games here actually are interactive Wii games, and you can get the full game for a lot cheaper than a new Wii game from a store.

In the Wii fit board where the batteries are is a red button. On the WII console there is a flip door up front, by the CD drive and you open to insert the SD card and there is a red button inside.
Push both red buttons and your Wii fit board should synchronize with the console.

WiiConnect24 allows the console to receive downloads even when the console isn't in active use, as long as it has a working connection to the internet. The types of information that can be received include News and Weather, messages posted to the Wii Message Board, and any messages sent by Nintendo about new Wii console features.
This disc slot of the Wii console will illuminate to indicate that you have received new information from WiiConnect24.
To Access the WiiConnect24 setting:

1. Access the Wii System Settings (how to).
2. Move the cursor over the blue arrow on the right and and select it once to reach System Settings 2.
3. Choose "WiiConnect24."

The following options will be available:

• WiiConnect24WiiConnect24 (on/off)
  When WiiConnect24 is turned on, your Wii console will automatically use its high-speed internet connection to accept data for a variety of services, including posting messages on the Wii Message Board and receiving messages from Nintendo about new Wii features. Press the home button then go into the wii remote settings on the bottom then re-sync each control.
