These small trimmers have a flexible drive shaft like a speedo cable, the tube lining is plastic, when they are assembled the flex shaft is greased, if you shake the machine and can hear the shaft rattling in the tube you can re grease it, otherwise leave it alone.

Unplug the printer from power cord.Press and hold the "menu" button, then plug the device. You'll see on the LCD screen a "machine error" code.If this code is 40,41,49 or 4F the print head is defective. If the
error is 50 or 51 there is error in Purge unit and printer require service. If the error is 48 - defective print head cable or circuit board. If the error is 46 the waste ink tank is full.Follow this:
1. Pres 'menu', 'mono start' then 'menu' one by one...
2. Press the arrow up or down to go to 'maintenance 80'.
3. Press 'mono start' several times to go to 'Purge'. Finding the PURGE will show some numeric value
which is Iassume the number of times the printer had cleaned.
4. Press 'arrow up' key and scroll for number "2" then press "set".Do the same for numbers 7, 8 and 3.
After you have entered this combination, the purge numeric value will be reset to 00000.

The fuel filter in the tank could be plugged, a fuel line gone bad, or the primer bulb has cracked, gotten hard, or otherwise rendered useless. It's possible that the lower chamber diaphragm in the carburetor is bad--hardened or cracked. The primer is supposed to pull fuel from the filter in the tank, into and through the carburetor, then out to the primer bulb, then back into the tank through another line. Go to: http://www.drystacked.com for a 12 page article on Walbro brand carburetors--very helpful. Hope this helps!

What is the problem? my ryobi ss26 weed trimmer gets fuel and spark &has good compression but will not start

What is the compression reading. You have to check it with a compression gauge before you can say it has good compression. Check compression with a short hose 2 cycle compression checker. Don't use one for automotive, the reading could be off by as much as 35 psi.

Code 11

Before calling service technician, open following links for Rheem troubleshooting resources including error codes.
Error codes are considered start-point for troubleshooting.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Troubleshoot-Rheem-Tankless-water-heater.html
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/ErrorcodeTroubleshooting.pdf

Error 11 is no ignition.
This problem can probably be solved by routine yearly maintenance shown in instruction manual which recommends: Yearly cleaning, adjustment and inspection of burner and combustion parts.
The yearly maintenance would check incoming gas supply, venting, wiring and grounding, and burner and ignition parts.
All gas water heaters today require same maintenance: tankless require yearly, and tank-type require periodic (1-3 years)

Makes a irritating squealing noise most of the time?

In a dehumidifier most squealing noises are related to the fan motor or the fan motor shaft. Following the Owners Manual instructions for removing the unit's cabinet for routine maintenance. Lubricate the fan shaft with some light sewing machine oil or a similar oil. That should solve the annoying squeal. And while you've got the cabinet dismantled, do some routine maintenance, like cleaning the refrigerant coils and any other dust or lint you see.

Hope this helps you. Please let me know. Thanks.

RYOBI Model ELT1100QFA. The lower shaft gets hot during use. I believe the lubricated packing is missing on the curved portion. Where might we find a packing material in Sydney, AU?

I have pulled a couple of these apart; they use a blue plastic lubricating blocks to keep the flexible shaft away from the shaft wall.

I found with two different shafts that they disintegrate with a few hours usage. Tried grease but the shaft drive still failed. I tried talking to Ryobi who tell me that there is no separate parts in the assembly (and parts drawing confirms a single part number for the entire shaft assembly. Took them months before they eventually gave me one off the shop floor.

The 1100QFA would be a very good multi-function if they fitted bearings or some other solution.

I can not remove the head from the string trimmer, SS26. The red knob will noy turn either way. What am I doing wrong?

The knob is definitely a LEFT handed thread....try this...take a shop rag and double it. Wrap it around the red knob and with a pair of channel locks or large pliers...carefully turn it in a CLOCKWISE direction it should break loose...some crud or water may have gotten in the threads of the cap and are binding it....good maintenance tip....when you get it loose clean the threads and lubricate them with a small amount of grease on the threads....won't stick again...hope this helps...;-D

The motor want turn the attachments i.e. string on the trimmer or blade on the edger

there is definitely a problem in the drive shaft. check to make sure there's nothing blocking the mal and female ends. if there is, clean it out and lubricate it so that the male will attach to the female slot. also check to see that both ends are not stripped. if the motor portion of it is stripped, which most liekly is out culprit, then it needs to be replaced, or you need to get a new trimmer. if you do, i recommend the Ryobi model CS26 gas trimmer.if the atachment shaft is stripped, the the attachment needs replacement. if you replace the motor portion you need not lubricate the attatchment slot. if the attachment is stripped, it needs to be replaced, but im quite sure the female end in the motor shaft is our problem. it could also be broken inside the shaft. make sure nothing falls out if you hold the attatching ends to the ground.

Ryobi gas trimmer SS26, won't start hot until primed and choked, then dies.

My solution is to stop buying lawn and garden equipment from the local home centers. I too made the same fatal mistake you folks made. I bought the SS26 model Ryobi weedeater used it about 3 or 4 times and it has turned to ****. I am so pissed off I will never buy any power landscape tools from home centers again. I even bought a Troybuilt gas powered hedger and I have to work on it for 3 hours in order to use it for 1 hour. I will start buying commercially available professional gas powered landscape equipment from now on. I learned my lesson the hard way, just like you. The gas was bad??!!??!... I have used oil mixed gasoline in a lot of my two stroke eqiupment for 12 months without additives and it always burns just fine. The last Ryobi weedeater I had was 15 years old before it gave up the ghost. Thats why I bought this new one. I never had to use fresh gas everytime I used it...What a joke....I say we little people ban toghether and pass the word along to everyone we know about how junky their equipment is and how unreliable the companies are in supporting thier product. The problem with the SS26 Weedeater is the carbureator (spelling) it is an inferior piece of junk...period. After 4 uses, it will only start up, as soon as I pull the gas trigger, it dies because it leans out. I checked the spark plug (another piece of ****) and it looks like the machine was running hot, The electrode was a whiteish color indicateing a lean burn condition, nt the chocolate brown I was hoping to see. I hope this helps everyone who reads this... Spend a couple hundred extra dollars and go buy something real. Stop playing with the kids toys. This is what I am going to do to resolve the problem. They don't care about us, why should we care about them....Down to the firey pits with them....
