Dishwater is about 4 years old. (out of warranty)
Experienced electrical control panel problems since time of purchase.
The indicator light for clean cycle constantly flashes.
Other than that, the appliance does not work.
Please help me, before I through this sears appliance out the window.
I had the same problem when I bought it and it just happened again; the problem is solved by ressting the control panel: Hi Temp ---> Heated Dry two or three times. It kind of goes into a testing cycle and the clean blinking light goes off.

Reset by toggling between (Hi Temp) then (Heated Dry) three times!

we also have continuous problems with our Kenmore elite dishwasher. Control panel has burning plastic smell when in use. Replaced the part twice already, now we are having the same problem, dishwasher is only 4 years old. It is basically a large paperweight in our kitchen right now.
We have the same problem - the clean light keeps blinking and we can't use the dishwasher.

Out of the blue, our clean button flashes and a dishwasher repair person told me which buttons to push to clear it but I can't remember which ones and now it is happening again.
My kenmore elite (energy star) control panel is blinking and the dishwasher will not start. We have had this problem since we purchased the dishwasher and we have already have the control panel replaced about a year ago.
Any suggestions. A control planel is over $100.

The control panel "clean" light is flashing and the dishwasher is not operating properly. Very dirty dishes! I tried turning it off and then on and restarting it with no positive results. We have had this dishwasher fixed two times over the last few years and have already spent more money fixing it than it cost new. Purchased in 2003. Help!
