There are a few different possibilities for a vehicle doing this. A low refridgerant level can, or a temp control on the dash is not operating properly.

The unit has to lean backward to let the water run out. It sounds like it is too level or leaning forward too much. There should be an adjusting screw in back that you can lower and it should work fine.

Unfortunately,unless your a/c system has been entirely replaced previously,you will have to go to a shop.1994 has the R-12 coolant.1995 and after has the R-134a coolant.Just to buy,handle,and use/sell the old R-12 requires a special permit.Wish I could be of better help,but that's it.
