Here is what you can try to do, Remove the batteries, don't plug in the ac adapter. Press and hold the power button for ten (10) seconds then release it. plug in the ac adapter on the computer without the battery, try to turn it on. If it turns on just wait for it to load then shut it down again, if it doesnt still have the display, press and hold the power button for ten seconds to shut it down. Unplug the ac adapter put the battery in and then try to turn it on, if it doesnt have a display still, there might be something wrong with the video cable, you need to have someone do it for you. If it happens that it turns on and have display it means that you need to have your ac adapter checked. if it happens the it turns on and have a display without the battery only, you need to have your battery checked. Hope this helps

Try to restart the computer in safe mode, when you hear the sound or when the computer first starts to set up, tap F8 repeatedly and see if it shows you a screen for multiple start-up options...if it does choose safe mode with networking. if it doesn't, you have most likely lost your video...but you can also try attaching an external monitor using a desktop type plug called VGA, there is a plug on the side of the laptop to accommodate this plug. If the video for the integrated monitor goes down, the external circuit may be alive.
