Hotpoint electric stove (older model push button) quit working
I have an older model hotpoint electric stove, with push button controls for the burners. My oven element burnt out, so I replaced it, then suddenly nothing works. I have a small light that tells me when the oven is on, it will light, but I have no oven, no broiler, no burners. So, yesterday I took the new oven element back out, seperated the wires, turned my breaker back on, tested a top burner, and it came on for about 10 minutes and then it went off by itself. Now, I have nothing at all working on this stove except for the little oven light still will light up. Please help, this was a great stove.
Thanks,
Judy

I can suggest some general steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue with the 115V outlet on your Hotpoint built-in electric stove:
Check the power source: Make sure the stove is properly plugged in and that the circuit breaker is on. If there's still no power, try resetting the breaker.
Inspect the wiring: Look for any loose or damaged wires around the outlet or control panel. If you're not comfortable working with electrical wiring, it's best to call a professional.
Check the outlet: Use a multimeter to check if the outlet is providing power. If it's not, it may need to be replaced.
Contact the manufacturer: If none of the above steps solve the problem, you can contact Hotpoint for assistance or to request a wiring diagram.
Remember, working with electricity can be dangerous, so it's important to take appropriate safety precautions and seek professional help if needed.
You are having connection issues, or a failing keypad. Disconnect the power. Pull down the control panel and disconnect the thin, flat ribbon connector that goes from the keypad to the control board, then re-connect the power and see if the F1 returns without the keypad attached. If it returns, get the computer board rebuilt at Corecentric Solutions. If the F1 doesn't return, buy a new keypad... Help Me Find My Model Number RepairClinic com
