You should have a "FN" key on the keyboard and one of the "F" keys should have a symbol that looks like the touch-pad, hold FN while using this key should disable it, failing this in control panel, then mouse and pointers, you should have touchpad setting there should be a disable button/radius.

Where are the memory slots on a dell xps m140 laptop?

One memory module, ('Stick') slot is located on the bottom of the laptop, in the Memory Compartment. (Has two Philips screws on the cover, and is located close to the battery release button)

The other memory module goes under the keyboard.

Here's how to replace them from Dell Support,

Touch pad

HI,
The xps 1330 is known to have problems with the internal speakers. Kindly call Dell Tech support and get the same replaced, while your system is under warranty. The cable that connects the speakers inside is either not connected right or is broken. If you are geeting sound form the headphones , your soundcard is fine , and there is no software problem on the system.

Thanks
mandeep
