I have a new verbatim 8G USB memory storage stick, but whenever I try to put something on it or even make a new folder, it says that it could not find the item. It worked before but it doesn't anymore.
There could errors in the drive. You should either run a scandisk on it or format it altogether. Either should get it back up and running is it is a genuine device.
1. To check for errors/scandisk right click on the icon of the memory stick, select properties. Under the properties menu look for Error-checking and select check now. The check disk menu pops up. See that Automatically fix file system error box is checked. Then click on start.
2. If you decide to format the memory stick just right click on its icon and select format. But see that you move you vital files from it first else you will loose them.

I just tried both of those but it seems like the computer knows its there but doesn't recognize it. When i tried to scan for errors it said that it couldn't access it and then i tried clicking on format but that just didn't do anything.
