solution to ipod problem some ipods do not work in directly with after market sterios some do now a good solution is to go to your local radio shack buy the rca jack one end proper male femal connectors on one end then head phone jack on the other this will play anything its just like the old days when you had to buy that clunky tape with head phone jack attachted it works all the time make sure ipod is powered so that it wont loose power while playing its kinda old school stuff but works since most ipod products dont work with aftermarket sterios

Just get the FM transmitter for ipod/MP3 player ( $10-15 in Walmart for example). It will be like an another station in FM at your radio. You can buy even a kit including car charger and fm transmitter in one piece.
Please kindly let me know if you need more info
Good Luck

VERY SIMPLE SOLUTION FOR DEH-P5800MP!!!!!!
Turn unit off by holding the Source (volume knob) button until power is off.
Now, hold down the Function button (FUNC) until the unit turns on. You will now be in the Initial Settings menu, a special menu. Press the Function button (FUNC) again until you see the word AUX, press up to enable it, then press the Source (volume knob) button until you see AUX. It works now, congratulations.
