No sound the television was purchased a year ago. It is hooked up to dish network. The sound stopped working and mute isn't on on either tv of dish remote.

Check for a MUTE button on both the television and the Dish Remote.

Or Disconnect both the television and the Dish Decoder for 15 minutes to reset.

This Orion TV made by Sansui was bought by me two weeks ago. It didn't last a week. The sound was terrible, picture was great, and it wouldn't hook up to soundbar without hearing a long delay in sound (A/V or Digital output tried two). I contacted their customer support twice, they were awesome. Told me this model has know issues and said to just bring it back. I found another TV for same price ($399) and same size (46) but it's LCD not LED, better picture and great sound! It is Insignia don't remember the model #. Bought at Best Buy (their house brand).

If you are using a powerstrip may not be supplying enough power to run the LG HDTV and your HD receiver. If you are using a powerstrip make sure the receiver is plugged directly into the wall. Otherwise this may be a grounding issue please reply if this doesn't work and we can look into some other possibilities.

this problem started on my LN-S4051D a couple of years ago. eventually the sound stopped working altogether. I then started using my surround sound speakers for the TV via optical out but soon that stopped working as well. I recently took the TV to a repair shop who said that the main board is bad and needs to be replaced. Labor plus parts was going to cost me $400. I said no thanks and paid for the estimate. Fire the TV Tech! Your problem is the adjustment to the color wheel timing. To correct this: With TV OFF -> on remote, press MUTE, 1, 8, 2, POWER. The TV will come up in service mode: ( Left / Right arrow keys for item selection, Up / Down to change values, Menu to return to previous menu, Power to exit Service Mode)

Enter the submenu of item 1. DDP1011. Now, adjust item 4. INDEX DELAY to correct the "clay facing" problem you are having . Default value is 47.

You should have a "problem" image paused to check you work if possible. I hope this was of some assistance, best wishes.

When my sound output set to off and I use the remote to change volume; it tells me speakers off.

Try a different output method: hook up headphones, other speaker type... these answers should help you find a solution.

First re-check your wire hook up and audio menu settings. If its under warranty then get it replaced if not the repair is an easy fix. Should be sameday return @ your local tv repair center.

What you are referring to is a FTA receiver. These are generally considered to be illegal and people who install them are then charged 4500.00 by direct tv because of the assumption that their signal is being stolen. Uniden no longer sells them for this reason

If it works on DVD but not on your Dish, and when you connected it to another house it had the same problem then it sounds like your input connection is bad on the TV. That is if I am understanding this right. From what I am reading your Dish network is not showing a picture but the audio is working fine. The DVD player works fine on the TV though. Then you took the TV and hooked it to another dish system and it was the same problem. That sounds to me like you TV is having a problem, either that or the cables for your Dish network are bad. Try switching to a different input, like the one the DVD player is on and seeing if it works there. If not, then the cables are bad and you just need to replace the cables. If it does work though where the DVD was working before then your TV input is bad on that port you were hooked to before.
