Try a hard reset to clear any bad processes.

1) Power off the phone.

2) Press these 3 keys simultaneously: CALL key, ASTERISK key (i.e. *), THREE key.

3) Don’t release that 3 keys until I say so.

4) Press the POWER button to power on the phone again and wait.

5) After the NOKIA logo appears, the “Formatting…” keyword will appear after couple of minutes. Now, you’re safe to release that 3 keys.

Finally, the N73 should have been formatted (hard reset) and ready to configure the phone as if it’s just out of the box (suppose the “hard reset” secret code really works).

hi there!

when you said you repaired it twice, what do you mean by that? i hope your a phone technician hehe, kidding, well seriously, if you have tried changing the batteries, or using it while its plugged in thru its original charger, if after doing those still it wont remain power up, you need to bring it out for repair, this may be a hardware issue meaning, some of its parts inside needs to be replaced.

Hello Sir, My phone automatically gets restarted

The power offs may be from a defective battery, or dirty contacts at the battery and SIM card. The last cause would be from physical or liquid damage.

My mobile will be switch off automatically sometime when i keep it in my pocket

its not switching off automatically, when in your pocket its getting bent and twisted, and the contacts for the power switch are making contact.

How can i password protect my sony ericsson w580i in standby mode ??????? plz reply me!!!!!!!!!!

It can be a pain when buttons on your phone get pressed when in your pocket or bag. You can lock your Sony Ericsson W810i's keypad by pressing * then Lock keys, or you can set it to lock automatically after a short time.
Enter the main menu by pressing the centre button, then highlight Settings and press Select. Scroll down to highlight Locks and press Select. Scroll down again to highlight Automatic keylock and press Select. Now choose On and press Select.
For added security, you can set your phone to lock with a numerical code. This means that if you should lose your phone, it will require a passcode to be switched on again. You have three options: On, Automatic and Off. ‘On’ means that you will be required to enter the passcode every time the phone is switched on, where as ‘Automatic’ will only require a password if the SIM is changed.
To activate any of these functions, hit the centre button to enter the main menu, then scroll down to the Settings icon and press Select. Now scroll straight down to Locks, press Select, then choose Phone lock and press Select. Before you begin, you’ll need to change the code to something only you know. By default the Phone lock code is set to ‘0000’ so highlight Change code and press Select, then enter ‘0000’ and press OK. Now you’ll need to enter a new code twice in order to activate it.
Once you’ve changed the code scroll up to Protection. Press Select to adjust the protection level. Choose from On, Automatic and Off, then press Select. You’ll be required to enter your passcode to continue, then you’ll see a confirmation message.

Sea water in my phone!

Hi, It may never work again BUT!!! Take the battery out, take the phone apart as much as possible and place the phone on a register vent with the fan switch set to ON or in front of a fan for about 3 or more days and try it again. water usually does not hurt electronics as long as there is no power to it and it is dry when you put power to it. If this even happens again, Get the battery out of it as soon as possible an DO NOT REPLACE IT OR TRY TO CHARGE IT until it is completely dry. Water and powered electronics do not get along in any way shape of form. Especially salt water. You will probably have to replace the phone. Your saved information may be on the sim card. Good Luck. kstfas
