To force an application to close, follow these steps:
iPhone or iPod touch running iPhone OS 3.0 or later

  1. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears. When the red slider appears, release the Sleep/Wake button.
  2. Instead of dragging the red slider, press and hold the Home button for six seconds.
  3. If the device does not return to the Home screen, see the steps below to restart.
iPhone or iPod touch running iPhone OS 2.2.1 or earlier
  1. Press and hold the Home button for six seconds.
  2. If the device does not return to the Home screen, see the steps below to restart.

If the iPhone or iPod touch remains unresponsive, try restarting the device:
Restarting iPhone or iPod touch
  1. To turn it off, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the red slider appears.
  2. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone.
  3. To turn iPhone or iPod touch on, press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.

If the iPhone or iPod touch remains unresponsive after trying the above steps or if it is in a different state, such as showing a persistent Apple logo on the display, try resetting the device:

Hope this helps...

SOURCE: my apple iphone refuses too turn on it was on a

One of the recommendations in the manual if your iphone does not start is to push both the sleep button {located at the top of the phone} as well as the home button {the buttom as the lower end of the phone. That should do a cold restart for the phone and get it to work. Hope this information is of some help...

Push down your Home Button and your Lock Button at the same time for about 10 seconds or until you see the apple logo. This will restart your phone and should resolve your problem!

Iphone stuck on itunes screen with usb

First power off your iphone and restart it does it start normally or not.
Secondly restart your iphone without connecting to computer. so remove usb cable and restart your iphone ipod or ipad. Even though iphone stuck all logo and itunes and usb symbol then it is a issue of original sim
Secondly when you connect iphone to computer and it detected as recovery mode then your ipod iphone is not properly restored. Here is how to restore ipod / iphone or ipad.

Bluetooth won't connect

I'm going to assume..you've got an iPhone.. Simply because apple seems to have a "list" of approved blue-tooth items.

Unless your "JailBroken" (google only, please do not ask), if the said bluetooth device will not connect, consider updating your iOS to 5.1.1. or 6.0, or simply deal witht thefact..it won't work... Older deviices (3gs and prior) don't support things like A2DP (blue-tooth bi-direction communication, like a head-set)... and unless (jailbroken..see above about google). will simply not work.

If your NOT talking about an iPhone..you've got me.

My iphone 4 won't turn on and I can't work out how to get it back on. It's not out of battery, it just suddenly crashed in the middle of a game (that I've played a zillion times before so...

I would take it into Apple honestly. They've got all kinds of trick in the backroom to make things work again. And there is a chance it could be the game. Some apps are being known to stealing peoples info and wiping their phones...

Id take it to Apple and get them to toy with it. They can fix it for ya. Being the iPhone 4 it should still be fully under warranty

My iPhone volume won't stop popping up on my

Try updating your iOS to the latest version, if the issue still occurs then you have a faulty volume control switch. If you are comfortable taking apart the phone you can get replacement parts at ifixit.com

otherwise try contacting your wireless provider or apple to see if the device is still under warranty.
