In your user manual, look for cleaning process. Your printhead is probably clogged, and that is why yellow or cyan wont print. You must go trough process of cleaning or deep cleaning in your printer software preferences.
Im not sure for exact procedure on MAC but it should be something like this: go to system control panel, find there your printer and open it's preferences, there should be something like maintenance mode, and from there you should find cleaning or deep cleaning buttons.
If you cant figure it out, search for user manual online, Cannon has good user support and im 99% sure you will find out user manual for your printer. In user manual there is written exact procedure for cleaning your print heads.
Also make sure that your cartridges are not empty maybe?
