Electric Elements (hot plates) for a Hotpoint de luxe stove, has four elements 2 x 1250w and 2 x 2050w on the top of stove. The Identification label has: Volts 240, 3 phase a.c.only. ser.no.166, kilowatts 14.5, cat.no. A53205 RD/4. We purchased this stove.when house was built 1958. Can these elements still be purchased, we would require the 4 of, as 2 are already burnt out. Thankyou

How many Large and how many small? I imagine the 1250W are small and the 2050W are large. With outer ring attached or does ring stay down when burner tilted up on hinge? Some examples if I guessed correctly.

Hotpoint oven won't heat above 250 degrees broiler works fine as well as the stove top

either its the oven sensor rod located at the top of the ovens cavity,or your bake element could be getting a hot spot which is when it gets a discolored spot in the element and can no longer pass sufficient current to heat the oven past 250 degrees

Whirlpool oven heating element

Are you trying to replace the stove top element, or oven element? For the stove top element, just lift up the side opposite where it plugs in and pull straight out.

The oven element usually have one or two screws holding a plate in near where the elements go into the back of the oven. Remove the screws and pull straight out. Reverse the procedure to install a new element. The top broil element will be secured in with a couple brackets to hold it up, these must be unscrewed, removed, and then pull the broil element out.

Remember to turn off power to the range before replacing any of the elements.

Simpson 2001 series upright electric stove oven does not get hot only gets warm

It could be the oven element (behind the cover plate in the back of the oven), or the fan not blowing the heat into the oven.

WHY WON'T MY OVEN HEAT UP?

Most modern gas ovens and many broilers use a "glow-bar" style of igniter that glows red-hot to ignite the gas. If the igniter doesn't reach the proper temperature, the gas valve won't open. You may need to replace the igniter.
