your printer driver is corrupt or the files your printing are corrupt- most 49.xxyy errors are down to software external to the printer. not sure?.
disconnect the printer from all network points and cycle the power - when it is ready perform a path print test ( found under the diagnostics menu on the printer itself ) and you will likely find no errors ( if by some horror of horrors you do get 49.xxyy error then you will need to replace the firmware chip - Very Very unlikely) -
what to do--
remove the printer and uninstall from the workstation - reboot the PC - re install the latest driver for your operating system downloaded from HP website
re connect the printer - print away !!

120.07 service fuser error

Hi, my lex1270 scanner is not working. printer and copy is fine. when i want to scan i get an error code!!! please help.

What is the error code displayed on the screen?
A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC.

If that doesn't help, try the steps below:

1. Disconnect the printer from your computer.

2. Unplug and re-plug the printer into the power source to reset it.

2. On your computer, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes.

3. Delete the Lexmark print object.

4. Reboot your pc.

5. When your pc turns on, reconnect the printer.

6. Wait until your pc fully recognizes the USB connection. To check, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes. If you see a new Lexmark print object in the list again, then try to print again.


You may also try to update your printer driver by visiting the Lexmark website at http://bit.ly/aKlcOJ. Select your operating system, download and execute the file.

Its not printing my work

Try clearing the printer queue, then rebooting your computer, then printing. See instructions for doing so in this article for USB and this article for wireless.
If clearing the queue and restarting the print spooler doesn't work, you might try a rest as described here before reinstalling the software.

Get an error message when trying to print test page

Please uninstall your printer then reboot the computer. Make sure your printer is switched off, then insert your printer installation disk and follow the instructions. Do not turn the printer on unntil asked to.

Error Message - PLEASE REBOOT PRINTER (116-330)

Somewhere in the addressing there is an error.
You can call 1-800-821-2797 and ask for second level support. They can narrow down your problem.
116-XXX or 119_xxx codes normally have to do with addressing issues within the network.
