Turn on your computer. Watch the display carefully while your PC starts. While the initial screen ( LENOVO ) is displayed, press the Lenovo Care button. The Rescue and Recovery workspace opens.

Click Restore your system > Restore my hard drive to the original factory state > follow the instructions on the screen.

If Rescue and Recovery did not launch, the motherboard may need replacing.

Hi. I think the LCD screen of your laptop needs a replacement because I think the backlight on that LCD is already busted thats why you need to point a flashlight or some sort of light just to see the display. Powerdraining your computer wont work because this already a hardware issue with the LCD, that's why when you switch display with your monitor it works fine. I would suggest replacing the LCD of that laptop or try calling Lenovo tech support if your laptop still under warranty so that they would replace it for free. Appears the backlight for the LCD display has stopped working. This usually needs to be replaced by a professional unless you are electronically and mechanically savy.

try fn+f7 that Toggle external monitor,and disconect external monitor before starting

the battery casing itself is heat sealed....
You Need to Pry it open..
No Really easy way to do it and you must take your time and do it slowly, start at a corner edge using a guitar pick or similar... then work your way around and around till you can pry it open..
Not an easy task.. But Do-able..
