Hpqcutil.dll missing I am trying to open hp photosmart essential and I keep getting this message: This application has failed to start because hpqcutil.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem.Well, I have uninstalled and re-installed several times without any success. I have even tried to find hpqcutil.dll to download it and can't.Please help me!

Hpqcutil.dll not found in my computer

hpqcutil.dll should be located in this location C:\Program Files\HP\Digital Imaging\bin
since that is where it is looking...

Greetings jsmith - The good news is that the software on the CD that was supposed to come with the camera is available on the HP support website.

You can download the complete set of software that was on the CD HERE.

I am unable to open hp photosmart 3-5 as hpqcutil.dll is missing or is not ther or for want of it.

Youwill have to reinstall the programme. That is the only way to get the uilities files and DLL's in the right place.

Reinstall software can make the fixes if not reinstall your whole oprating system again then install scanner software.
don,t forget to install good antivirus and to update it.

Application missing

Generally caused by 2 things

spyware/malware/trojans/viruses
Installed Printer software needs updates.

Download Avastfree and sched a boot time scan.
uninstall/ reinstall printer software.

Copy all the files in "C:\Program Files\Common Files\HP\Digital Imaging\bin" to "C:\Program Files\HP\Digital Imaging\bin".

Search the CD you got with your HP printer for a file called L3. Its a special uninsstaller for complete clean up. Then get me the model number of your printer so that I can get you the latest version of the application which you can install. I am sure that will resolve your problem.
