Yes, It can be fixed if your good hands on Exp. However, When the camera hit the floor did it dent the lip/edge surrounding the batter door. If so it may not be fixable, and you may be better of getting a new one, there cheap enough! Let me know the cond. post a picture.

I suggest that you contact Sony PAS to get the new Battery cover at 1-800-488-SONY (7669)

Then, contact the nearest dealer to get the Battery door fixed instead of sending for service.
All you have to do is, press the pin on both the sides of the Battery door and insert in the hole available for battery door on camera.

Sony has the roughest firmware known to man for digital cameras. If running Windows XP or Vista you can simply connect the camera to the USB port and let the computer do the rest. Picbrige works the best for it downloads the quickest. Picbrige will be on your cameras list of choices to use for downloading

Hi guys, got some info for replacemnet LCD screen for Sony Cybershot. Why go used when you can buy new fairly cheap? First make sure that it is the screen that you need and **t the rear cover (is it scratched? if so you don't need a screen, you need the rear cover). This number is for Canada (but there must be a US one too).
1-877-779-9929. This is the parts warehouse for Sony (also k**wn as MTC), the part numbers and costs follow:
LCD Screen part **: A-1209-107-A about $70.00 Can.
Rear Cover Assembly part **: X-2149-431-1 about $40.00 Can.
Be extra careful when popping the dial off of the top, there is a small spring underneath. You will have to remove this in order to gain access to the 2 screws to remove the trim (about 4 screws hold the back cover together) then to the inside of the camera, then it's straight forward. I intend to keep my extra screen for a replacement as it seems there could be a potential problem with these, good luck on your finds.
