Try tapping F8 when booting and then choose 'safe mode with networking' if this works go to the lcd manufactures web site and look for a specific driver for your screen.

Most Dell LCDs have multiple inputs and they will go into "standby" while waiting for a signal from your PC.
This happens when your PC goes into "sleep" mode or if you are sure your PC is not in "sleep" mode then usually the LCD is not in the correct input selection. Check the input selection for the appropriate input. As always, make sure the cables are securely connected. Hope this helps.
Take the RAM out to be sure that is not causing the issue. If it is then make sure it is seated right and is the right kind and try again. If the video card is not initializing that would cause the monitor to not work.
Since you havent mentioned the operating system u are using .You can change the standby time manually to which you want . As of now turn on ur machine and change the settings .There will be no need to enter bios settings
Good morning! kindly try to review/check the operations manual of your monitor as there might be proper set-up settings / compatibility requirements to a certain PC. best regards
Make sure all of the fans on your computer are free from dust and dirt. Unplug the computer from the mains and open the casing, hoover away any dust and dirt, then take out clean and resit your RAM and your Graphics card.
This could be caused by dirty RAM, dirty Graphics or just a build up of dust causing it to overheat.
You may have a video resolution selected on your computer that the screen doesn't support.
The reason you see the the initial startup message is because that is loaded from the bios, prior to the settings for the graphic card output being loaded.
Try booting the computer in safe mode and adjusting the display resolution.
