Electrolux wine cooler ''af'' code flashing

We have an electrolux undercounter wine cooler and it keeps flashing ''af'' . We switched the airfilter thinking that might be the problem but it keeps flashing. Is something else wrong or is there a way to reset the error code? We have looked in the manual but it does not say anything about an ''af'' air code??

Believe it or not we had the same problem.... The air filter should be changed about every six months but it is just charcoal or baking soda or something like that and is not attached to any sensors. To reset the flashing light, make sure the control panel is unlocked then hold down the on/off and (-) buttons and it will reset.
Good Luck! Elisabeth

Actually, the door has a notice that says "for FC, hold..." and it indicates the + and - buttons. FC means Filter Change, but who knew THAT? Anyway, it worked, but now the temp is Celsius. OH, well.

That means to hold + and - to switch between Fahrenheit and Celsius

How do you unlock the control panel so the " AF " code can be reset ?

After six (6) months of use, the display will show AF. This is a reminder that it is time to change the air filter. The product will continue to function normally. Pressing any key will reset the reminder for 10 minutes. Once the air filter is replaced, pressing the "On/Off" and "-" keys for three (3) seconds will reset the reminder for another six (6) months.

E1 error code LFWC38F6LS

Good Morning Chris,

I see that you are receiving an E1 error code on your wine cooler, model# LFWC38F6LS, even though your wine cooler is still working. This could possibly be a false error code, caused by a miscommunication between the different control boards inside your appliance. I suggest resetting it by either unplugging it or cutting the power at the circuit breaker for 2-3 minutes. If when you bring power back to your wine cooler, you are still receiving the E1 error code, I suggest contacting either the manufacturer or your local authorized technician. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

I am looking for the cooling fan for a Danby Silhouette DWC512BL-1 wine cooler. A google link took me to your site but I don't see any links to Danby parts.

As I have worked on a few ELECTROLUX wine coolers and they do not have a cooling fan for the inside of the unit are you speaking of the one under and in back of your cooler if so then it is a condenser fan motor it will be 110v and your local appliance store should be able to order one close enough to work in design and rotation of it. Hope this helps.

Hello, I have BW40 wine cooler. On the display is blinking error message "E2". I have tried to switch off and switch on, but it doesn't helped. Thanks for you support in advance. br, Zoltan

There are 2 sensors in this wine cooler. Malfunction of each leads to E1 or E2 fault codes. One is easily accessible inside the fridge (small white torpedo sensor with pair of wires attached). The second but identical sensor is buried within the foam on the rear of the cooler. Unplug from mains, take of the electrics from back of cooler, take off sheet metal back and the sensor will be deep in the foam and can be replaced easily after digging out some foam. When replaced make sure the sensor is in the same place it stops the cooler icing up. Use gap-fill foam to keep insulation good. Dr_Nicholas

The door was not shut good, so i turned the wine cooler off and defrosted it overnight, but i still have E5 error code flashing.

e-5 means that the unit is 10 degrees warmer then setpoint. If you just close everything up and let it run the e5 should disappear when it gets within the temperature.
