The downloaded apps appear in itunes but will not sync to the ipod. My music is on a seperate drive and I noticed that the apps went to the default location on C. I tried copying them to the E drive.
Okay, if you downloaded them off the internet, (like not off of itunes) then the apps are modded and they need a jailbroken ipod for them to sync to.. look up "jailbreak ipod touch".. i jailbroke mine best thing ever.. i cant live with out it..

There are plenty of cloud service apps in the App Store, and some of them support to sync media files. With a cloud service app, you can transfer music from iPod touch to iPhone. Dropbox is regarded as one of the most popular cloud apps among iPhone and iPad users, and it provides 2GB for free use, so you can sync the songs from iPod touch to the cloud service, and enjoy them on iPhone.
Download and install Dropbox on iPod touch. Register an account and log in.
Click Add Files, and select the songs you want to transfer. Then click Upload.
Install Dropbox on iPhone as well, and log in with the same account. Then wait until the songs show up in the Dropbox folder.
You can listen to the songs with the Open in function in Dropbox to listen to the songs, or download the songs to your iPhone so that you can enjoy them anytime you need.
I would assume you're music is stored on you're computer and you want to transfer it to the iPod. To do this first you would have to download iTunes. Download it and install it. Once you have done that simply connect you're iPod to the computer, iTunes should then open itself. You would get a popup to sync. The iPod to this computers iTunes click ok and let the process finish then. Go to the MUSIC section located to the left side of the iTunes app (usually the first option) then simply select the music files you want to transfer to the iPod and then just drag and drop them to the iPod in the iTunes app itself.

Because the ipod can only be synced with one computer at a time your are getting this message.
if you look in your itunes music library and all the muisc is still there then choose the "erase and sync option" this will erase the ipod and re- sync with this computer -
if your muisc is gone you have a much larger problem you need to search your computer for your missing music then add it back to itune when you find it by :
In itunes you go to the upper left to : File > add Folder to Library > and choose the folder the music is in this will re- add your music to the libray then you can " "erase and sync"
If all you music is gone off your computer a only on your ipod your going to have to download a free ipod rip program to remove all you muisc and put it back into your library. there are free ones you can downalod but they are hard to find I have used www.ipodrescue.com and it worked for me
