No audio driver

You are getting the error 'could not find the media device for this driver ' because you have not installed microsoft universal audio driver ,so to solve this problem and install the audio drivers correctly .first install microsoft universal audio driver from the link below and after that install audio driver and i am sure you will not get any error........

remove your current audio driver by device manager:

click start > run > type devmgmt.msc

under audio, right click the device and remove the driver

then restart pc and install the driver

Hi, my laptop is lenovo g550 and when i am trying to install audio driver then its showing the error media device for this driver not found, and even no question mark is showing on the device...
If you run XP SP2 you have to install KB888111 first.

After that (or if you have SP3 already) you need to install driver manually - in Device Manager chose "Update driver" for audio device and chose "I'll load driver manually", then tell Windows to show all drivers and tell you have a disk, navigate to unpacked Audio driver folder where you chose an *.inf-file that contains description of your audiocard. That will do the trick.

When i have install audio driver in lenovo G450 , its showing error " media device not found". Kindly suggest
"Media device not found" most probably you have install the incorrect version drivers for your Audio devices. You have not mention which OS you are using. You have to select & install the correct Audio version for your Operating System eg. XP, Vista, or Win7!!

If you need the drivers ie for OS Windows, you can download @ lenovo Drivers & Download.

Cant able to install audio driver

change it to xp service pack3
and still problem continues it is due to the audio port connection

No sound in media player
The best will be to start by downloading and installing the chipset drivers for your notebook, which can be downloaded from:
http://downloadmirror.intel.com/13799/eng/ChipUtil.exe

Make sure to restart your machine after installing the chipset.

Secondly download the Audio driver(s) from:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp36001-36500/sp36090.exe

Install the driver and follow instructions.
