I would take this to a professional, its in the carbs/intake/fuel system.

SOURCE: no acceleration

I'd be checking fuel flow. Usually if you have to choke or squeeze a primer bulb to keep it going, the motor isn't getting enough fuel. Check all fuel lines and connections are air tight, then if problem persists, investigate fuel pump.

A good carburettor cleanout and new carb overhaul kit wont hurt either.

Try better quality gas. I had the same problem. Ethanol too high in lower grade gas. Buy better grade or ethanol free. Mine works fine with better gas.

SOURCE: 2004 Honda Shadow Aero stalls

There seems to be low gas level in the float chamber of the carburator.
Clean the carburator and check the float level and reset.
With the choke 'on' and if you hit the throttle it will die because there is a restriction of the air flow to the carburator.

SOURCE: I have a 2004 great lakes hot tub with a balboa

check to see that the flow switch is working properly, it may not have enough flow on low speed to allow the heater to turn on. Make sure your filter/s is/are clean. If you have a pressure switch instead of a flow switch, it may need to be adjusted or replaced.

85 Nissan 720 with Z24 motor when first started it will run great for a short time then fall on its face spits and sputters and u can't keep it running

Naturally aspirated carburetor with automatic choke.

If youre in winter (northern hemisphere) then the choke will set when you depress accelerator for cold start.

After the engine starts it unloads (opens) the choke slightly. As the engine warms it continues to open the choke until fully open.

Likely the choke is not opening as the engine reaches normal operating temperature and fuel mixture us too rich causing poor combustion and black smoke.

1993 Eagle Vision.. Car runs great... for 15 min. Then falls on its face..try to start..barley runs...rapidly pump gas pedal car will run barley. shakes and chokes and sputers... shut the car down for...

Could be fuel pump is going out. Its getting hot not working properly and when it cools down it works right again for a short period. Ive seen this happen several times.

I have an evinrude 1984 outboard that loses power when it accelerates at wot

I would hook up the timing light and remove the screens from in front of the carbs and go for a ride- using the timing light as a flashlight to look down each carb and see what is going on. It's kind of like a stop action movie and will let you identify if the choke is stuck (closed) or you have a flooding carb dumping lots of fuel into one cylinder -- which is then moved around to the whole engine via the puddle trap system.

The choke is applied when the key switch is pushed in while the engine is turning over. If you have a fuel enrichment system in stead of a choke, it will have a red lever on it so you can run it manually. Somebody may have turned it on. Either way you should be able to hear it "click" when you push the key switch in and release.

Greetings all. Bought an 1983 Yamaha XJ650 Maxim late last year and love it. It ran great last fall and took it on a 2500 km road trip this June and it ran great. Two days after I got back it started...

Have you changed the oil and cleaned the air filter, after the fuel tap problem.
fuel in the oil can cause this symptom. the fuel ends up in the sump when the taps fail as yours did
also check choke is not stuck open, and battery is in good condition

6f0 mariner 60hp 2 stroke carburettor settings, can some one tell me the best settings for the air fuel mix or even where to start.?

This is difficult and many will disagree with what I'm saying but to start run the upper center screws in until the lightly seat counting how many turns don't tighten then just lightly till they stop then back off 1.5 turns that will give you a start position. What people will disagree on is that I've always found that the same engine used in different places (lakes or oceans) require the carbs low speeds adjusted to give a proper idle. An engine I have set up to run great during the summer in the lower great lakes doesn't work very well in the fall on an inland lake 700 miles North and several hundred feet above sea level. Anyway that's another thing but may explain why the engine appears to need adjustment.

Which has the most advantage fall or spring tune-up of riding mower?

Spring, especially if you are doing it yourself and don't have to wait in line to get it into the local shop. If you do a lot of fall and winter tasks with your rider like haul wood or blow snow, then fall works, too. If not, then a fall tune up is wasted, as it will just sit there all winter gunking up (or not, if you have run it dry).
That's the news from Lake Woebegone:)

Hi there, I bought a Kodak recently, has had no damage to it as far as I'm aware, but it wont charge and battery has gone totally flat, lights dont turn on etc. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly...

The camera has a one-year manufacturer's warranty. Assuming it didn't fall into a lake or ocean, or was abused somehow, Kodak should replace it. You didn't say which camera you have, but I had this happen with a Kodak M-series camera and they replaced it at no charge.
