Misplaced my manual for MHDH65B2A dehumifier. How do I find operating instructions, or get replacement paper manual. Is there a fix ? whenever there is a power failure dehumidifier needs to be reset. If you are away the dehumidifier does not operate. Other brands i.e. LG restart themselves. Actually, your husband is correct. The settings reflect the amount of humidity you want to remain in the house. I really don't think you want to leave 50 to 60% humidity in the house.
35% removes the greatest amount of humidity.
Hope this helped answer your question and thanks for choosing FixYa.
You definitely have an electrical short in the unit and should stop using immediately. Have it checked out by a licensed electrician. It is a very real fire hazzard.
Replacement 'plugs' can be purchased from most hardware stores. Depending upon their organization, it will/should be in the 'outdoor' section with the hoses...or in the small hardware section (with the dehumidifiers.)
As the bucket has the 'male' end of a hose, and the original cap has
been misplaced or broken, then you just need to cap it....or in the
case of a leak (smokeythecat) just put in a standard hose washer to
tighten the seal.
Just tell the associate what you are trying to do, and they hopefully can take you to either of these sections to locate the part.
However, if the above 'leak' is actually caused by a crack in the bucket....then a new bucket is more expensive than you (I) expected....I have just gone to the local dump...where the appliances are sorted out...looked for a dehumifier and liberated the bucket (the sizes are remarkably universal... ....this can/is/has been a location for the above desired cap as well :)
Hope these solutions help you to 'fix-ya' ....please rank.
