Depress S- with the machine off, and then turn it on. When it's on, L- is less and M- is more. Fix it to your liking and then stroke N- for no (don't save changes) or Y- for yes (save changes).

What type of foot do I need when attaching popper closure tape to a duvet cover. It needs to leave more space under foot for popper height.

You do NOT want to sew over the popper. Instead, use a narrow zipper foot and adjust your machine needle to stitch just on the very edge of the tape. Hitting a popper will definitely break your needle and possibly knock the machine out of time.

Be sure to get the right foot to fit your machine!

Your machine's zipper foot may not look like this, but it should give you the basic idea.

How do I move Needle and foot (sewing head needs adjusted) towards back of machine.

Unless something drastic has happened to your machine, ie dropping on the floor, the head should not need adjustment. Not sure what issue it has, or what symptoms it is presenting. Have you checked that the needle is installed correctly? There is a flat side to the needle that needs to face a certain direction on your machine--most often the flat side faces the back of the machine, but on some machines, it faces the harp space of the machine. The Owner's manual should have an explanation.

Can you reset a Stentura 8000? It's stuck "Recovering Files"

If you were indeed talking about the Stentura 8000, and not the computer, and if your writer boots up ok but gets stuck at "recovering files" **when you try to start writing**, try verifying that the floppy is good (e.g. looking at it via a computer)- it may just be that the floppy got fried in the power surge. You can try using a fresh floppy (check in Windows/etc to make sure, first). There are many floppy-recovery programs out there on the web, and that'll at least get your Stentura sane again. Just dealt with this a few minutes ago, and that's all it turned out to be...but after 3 months, you've probably long since found your own solution.

Hi

Your power adapter on the motherboard needs to be re soldered or replaced because they all come loose and move.

the problem could be finding the part and the labour cost to do it, get a few quotes and consider if its more cost effective to replace the laptop or repair.

Smart response technology

Intel Smart Response Technology (SRT) is used for SSD caching to improve system performance. To use it successfully, here are some steps to consider:
1. SSD Compatibility: Ensure that your SSD is compatible with SRT. It should be a SATA SSD.
2. BIOS Settings: In the BIOS, set the SATA mode to RAID (not AHCI or IDE) before configuring SRT. Make sure your motherboard supports SRT as well.
3. Driver Installation: Before enabling SRT, install the latest RAID drivers provided by your motherboard manufacturer.
4. Backup: Backup your important data because enabling SRT involves data migration.
5. Enable SRT: In the BIOS, set the SRT mode to "Enhanced" or "Maximum" depending on your preference.
6. Initialize SSD: Initialize and format the SSD through Windows Disk Management.
7. Install Intel RST: Download and install the latest Intel Rapid Storage Technology (RST) driver and software for your chipset.
8. Enable SRT in RST: Open the Intel RST software and enable SRT. You should see an option to accelerate your HDD with your SSD.
9. Reboot: After configuring SRT, reboot your system.
10. Verify: Check if SRT is working by opening the Intel RST software. It should show your SSD as a cache for your HDD.
If you're encountering crashes or issues, it's essential to ensure compatibility and follow these steps carefully. If the problem persists, consider seeking assistance from your motherboard manufacturer's support or Intel's support, as it could be related to specific hardware or software conflicts.

Can't change f-stop to higher numbers

That tiny silver post on the front of the body moves the pointers inside the body so you can see in the viewfinder where the aperture is set. It should move far enough that it lets you set 1.7 to 22. Check it to be sure the internal display matches the lens setting.
If it matches, and won't let you go all the way over, check the track for obstructions. Remove the lens and check the silver tab. It should go past the A in MINOLTA. Does the tab move all the way with another lens?
It sounds like something internal is blocking the movement of the ring or its linkage on the SRT.
I suggest a trip to the repair shop for the SRT. Garry Airapetov in Niles, IL repairs them at a very good price. He will fix it, clean, Lube, adjust it, and return it for around fifty dollars.
Look up Garry;s camera repair online to check prices and download the form you send with it.
He did a really good job with my SRT 101.
