Our dirt devil vacuum is blowing out air instead of pulling in air.

My dirt devil is blowing out air instead of sucking up.Tried new bag.any other solution to fix

The belt only goes on one way .. geesh - what ever do you mean reverse the belt ? The only way I got mine to successfully work was to make a small circular piece of cardboard and place it in that hole between the dirt canister and the bottom of the vacuum. What I find most annoying is the way it is HARD to replace top of the cannister after emptying it. The threads are about impossible to line up to put the 2 parts together. Big GROWL there.
