Nortel meridian phone will only call one person

We have seven lines, ten phones. I am the only one with a problem. Whenever I pick up my phone to call anyone, in or out of building, the only one it will call is my accouting department. No matter what button I push it says calling accouting later (and no accounting does not have their dnd on)...what the heck is going on?

Hard to answer because your problem description does not match the part.
Nortel Meridian M7208 Corded Phone is a digital phone which works off a phone system.Also note that the carrier controls the rollover, not the phone or its system.

All of a sudden the line lights on our nortel switch Meridian M7310 phones started blinking and the lines are dead. Any ideas?

If you only have one line,why not just lose the Nortel system? You can reuse the wiring from the phone sets to the contoller as regular inside wire,and just plug in regular phones(and maybe put the Nortel phones and controller on EBay and make a few bucks off it!)

Press Feature * 3
press the 5th line key you want to use for paging
enter the page-all code (feature 601-603 as you wish)

It sounds like you have the wires hooked up wrong. Check both ends of the wire.

Hello: I have a meridian 2008 and whenever I am on the line and the next call comes through it makes a loud noise. How do I turn the phone lower?

if there is a program key on these sets press it and use the scroll bar which is just below the key pad.select probably the buzz option....hope this helps

it may be turned down to low.press the program key and use the scroll bar below the keypad to find your option...hopes this helps

Dear sheryl498,

Your phone is designed for a PBX (Private Branch Exchange) unit like the Compact ICS or the 6x16 TCU that was at the office. It is not compatible with regular POTS lines or standard home lines.
