Please help!!! I don't want to ditch this gem of a machine, but am finding it impossible to identify which generic type of walking foot I can use. It's driving me nuts, actually! I'm totally against planned obsolescence and the thought I must buy a new machine just for this purpose really worries me. I don't have the money for one, to put it simply, but I have lots of fabrics I wanted to sew to make some money. HELP!!! From Australia. Maybe they will know in Sweden...HELP!!!
SOURCE: Needle doesn't move the problem isn't the foot pedal
Same problem with my 400. I took it in to dealer and they said main computer board on my machine would have to be replaced. Fortunately, they agreed to get it fixed for me. My machine is 2 years old. How old is yours? I wonder if this could be a manufacturer defect on the machine? Maybe this needs to be addressed with Viking Husqvarna Corporate.

You have to unscrew the presser foot, then attach the WF, using the same screw.
Make sure the lever on the WF rests on top of the needle bar clamp.
Some WF have a two prong lever and this fits around the needle clamp like a lobster claw.

There is a presser foot pressure dial on the left end of the machine, make sure it is on 3 or higher.
Testimonial: "Thanks--Don't know how the wheel was moved, but that fixed the problem. Now if I could only find the owner's manual!! "
SOURCE: I have this White model
to allow the free moving and to do it by hand ..it has a button that will low the feeding dog and practically you will move the fabric by hand..or ..just remove the presser foot from the screw..or if it is possible ..free the screw and lift the foot up to the max..for a larger feeding dimension ..
