Fuji FinePix Digital Camera Logo
Anonymous Posted on Aug 29, 2009

My finepix A825 has a problem where it seems to default to internal memory. After taking 3 or 4 pictures it states the internal memory is full. However, when I insert a memory card the camera doesn't recognize it. I have tried to format the card but still get the same message. I'd be really grateful for any advice. Thanks

Thanks, I tried what you suggested but it still won't work. I erased the pictures, pressed the reset button and then switched the camera off, removed the batteries and the memory card like you said. I did notice, however, that when I switched the camera back on I got the message "images saved to Internal Memory" and there is a small camera logo at the bottom of the screen with the "in" inside. I can't figure out any way to change this setting from internal memory to memory card???????

Thanks, I tried that but when I select "copy" its says "no card", although the card is in the camera. I tried a different memory card but that does the same.

Yes I did format the memory from the camera menu, but still no luck!!

Are you trying to format the card in the camera? That's the accepted way. Go into the setup menu and find an entry for "reset"...try that. Try removing the card and battery...press all the buttons...insert the card and then the battery..try it. Remove the card and erase the pictures the camera says are in the internal memory.

First, let's transfer the internal memory to your card. Insert the card into the camera. In the setup menu, select "copy". Select the setting for transfer of "in" memory to memory card. Press menu/ok to confirm.
Next, remove your card. We're going to format the internal memory. In the setup menu, go to "format" and follow the on screen instructions. Finally press menu/ok (takes about 15 seconds). Now, with no card in the camera, the camera icon with the "in" is in the lower corner. When you insert your card, that should disappear. Let me know how it turned out.

Did you at least try to format the internal memory?

At this point, you should e-mail a tech person from the support section of the Fuji website and explain your problem. They may have a download or a work-around.

FRIST, download the 83 pics u have and save them. your camera may be reading the internal memory. go to setup and change to sd card option. If that doesn't do it, and it's already looking at the SD card. Format the card. NOTE: see first line again!!!

My Fujifilm s5000 camera turns on but when I go to take a picture it turns off. I can view my pictures but can't take any.

Your memory card or internal memory may be full. I've run into situations where the card full doesn't flash on the monitor or LCD screen because there is lets say 3 gigs of memory left but the picture you are taking is 3.5gig's it won't take the picture because there isn't enough memory to put the image anywhere. Download your pictures to your computer, format your memory card and all should be good again. If you are using the internal memory you will need to obtain (buy) a memory card for your camera and download from the internal memory each picture from the memory card one by one until all the internal pictures are on the removable memory card then download these to the computer. After you have them on the computer go back into the internal memory and delete each of thse pictures and you are ready to start taking pictures once again. it took me longer to type this then the process will take to do.

Finepix a600, in memory full, won't take photos

Connect it to your PC, using the USB cable provided.

Click on my computer, you should see another HDD drive appear, it may be called Fuji or mass storage device.

Double click on that, you'll see folder, double click on that you should see the pictures stored on the internal memory of your camera.

The camera says memory is full but I have only taken about 20 pictures - the letters IN appear in the corner - camera is a finepix F31fd

You are taking pictures to the internal memory and not to the XD Picture Card. The internal memory will only hold about 20 pictures. You can buy an XD Picture card at Walmart or really any store that sells camera accessories. 256MB should be plenty.

You can also lower the resolution of your pictures and then the internal memory may hold maybe 32-40 pictures.

Fujifilm Finepix a825 Digital Camera Battery Life issue

2 long shots as I don't know anything about the a825
Some cameras have a setting in their menu that allows you to choose between alkaline or NiMh (rechargable). If the setting is wrongly set to alkaline when using rechargable it is unlikely to recognise that the batteries are charged and would report low battery. Check your manual to see if their is a select battery setting and check whether it is set correctly.
Occasionally errors on digital cameras can be corrected by removing the memory card and batteries, leaving for 2-3 days and then putting back in the batteries, turning on, turning off, putting the memory card back in and turning back on.

Samsung i900 - insufficient memory when trying to take photo.

The phone has 3 memory's

My device about 90MB which is where everything gets stored by default and because it's the smaller memory it will easily get full.
My storage about 8 GB (handset internal memory)
Storage card about 8GB depending on your contract (Memory card)

You will need to move items from the "My devices" memory to either the "My storage" or " Storage card"
Start
Programs
File explorer
My device
My documents
Tap and hold on a file
Select cut
Go to my storage or storage card which ever desired memory
Tap and hold paste.

Try change default storage for pictures and video.... So that they no longer saved under My devices memory.

Open camera as you about to take a picture tap on the tool icon
tap on the tool
change default storage to my storage or storage card

Also change default storage for files transferred via bluetooth...

Start
Settings
Connections
Bluetooth
Tap on FTP tab
tap on the bar with 3 dots
select desired default storage

Works like a charm!

I'm only getting 12 pictures before I get a "Memory Full" notice

You didn't state whether or not you are using a memory card in your camera. If you are storing pictures strictly on the camera's internal memory and you have a high megapixel camera, it is quite possible that your memory is full. I have seen cameras with only 8 MB of internal memory which will hold very few pictures before giving you a "memory full" message.
