Almost all sets have a default password that will work--usually all digits are the same like all 9's etc----If not call LG customer service.

If you have access to the web admin interface...
All passwords can be changed in the User list (Share -> User). Click the User ID to change the password. Due to security reasons, passwords can only be changed in the web admin interface. If you forget the admin password, the password can only be reset by a service technician.
You can re-initalize the device (per instructions in the manual), but it will erase all data.

An "X" display means, your TV has been locked. to unlock it, you have to enter its password which you have given to it. If you have forgot the passord, do the following.

Hi there,

You didn't specify the model number of the TV but many Insignia's TVs use 9999 as a master password which you can use to unblock channels or reset the password if you forget the one you set. 0000 is the default password, but this can't be used after setting your own.
