My son bought an AOC LCD TV (model L24H898) last month and connected his laptop and XBOX to it. Yesterday we lost internet connection and the screen on the TV went blank. Now none of the button on the TV panel or remote will work except to power it on and off. When it powers on it displays the "loading...please wait" message, then a brief AV menu followed by the "no signal" display. All buttons display a "button locked" message when attempting to do anything other than turn it on or off. Nothing in the manual addresses this or describes any kind of reset feature. I've tried holding "menu" button for 15 seconds, unplugging all the cables and nothing seems to work. Any help would be appreciated before I send it off for repair. Of course, 30 day return was up a few days ago :-(

According to the manufacturer, to reset the entire unit do the following:
1. Press and hold "Menu" and "Channel +" on the TV. 2. Using other hand, press the power button. 3. A small screen should appear in the top left part of the screen. 4. Using the remote, select "Memory Recall" and select. 5. Power off and re-boot the computer 6. Run channel auto-scan to regain the picture.

On the tv press and hold both the + and - on the volume control and the buttons will unlock

I bought a new AOC LCD monitor and have connected it to the hard drive but all we get is 'no signal' . how can I get a signal?

    This can be caused by a couple different things. •No television signal. Hook up an antenna or cable box.
    •No computer signal on the PC/VGA input. Move your mouse to wake your computer. Check your VGA cable connection (the plug may have come out or is loose).
    •Change your input selection from TV (or whatever source is selected) to PC.

This sounds like a power supply problem that causes the high voltage power supply to shut down when it warms up. A repair shop may be able to fix this.

This sounds like a common problem on these TVs. Try a factory reset:

1. Press and hold "Menu" and "Channel+" on the TV. (do not use the remote)
2. Using the other hand, press the Power button.
3. *A small screen should appear in the top left part of the screen.

4. Using the remote, select "Memory Recall" and Enter.
5. Power off and reboot the TV and Computer.
6. Run channel auto-scan to regain the picture.

If this still does not work, perform steps 1-3, but when you get to step 4, select "EEPROM Init". Then steps 5 and 6 to power it off and back on.

Vertical line comes on screen
the vertical line you see in your tv is not fixable your lcd is already damage but it can be replace with a new lcd.

Do you have power surge or failure issues with your electricity? Try plugging your TV into an uninterruptable power supply (UPS) to get line conditioning and the continuous power.

Otherwise, I'd guess there is something else causing memory failures (bad chip or something).

Can't find AOC L24H898 drivers. Can anyone
Should not need any drivers. Just need to send video signal in correct format. ie.. 1024x768 60hz does the full screen. Trying 1280x960 will give a incorrect format message, but 1920x1080 is accepted. Strange TV... but that's the way it is.
