We do not have the manual to this phone and can not figure out how to turn up the hand set volume. The ringer volume is fine but you can barely hear some of the callers on the handset. Any ideas how to turn this up?
For the 302c, you first hit either volume up or down on the upper right of the console, THEN you hit the SELECT button which is to the left of the 2 volume buttons. on the display you will see likely "Ringer volume" so hit SELECT AGAIN, then you will see "HEADSET VOLUME" then you can hit the volume up to adjust the headset volume.
This took me about 10 minutes to figure out, so don't feel bad.
Adjusting the Ringer, Earpiece and Speaker Volume
Adjusting the Ringer Volume
You can choose from four ringer volume settings (off, low, medium, and high) separately on each handset or the base.
With the phone in standby, press or on the handset or VOLUME or VOLUME on the base. The handset or base sounds the ringer at that level.
Use on the handset or VOLUME on the base to make the ringer volume louder. Use on the handset or VOLUME on the base to make it softer or turn it completely off.
When you hear the ringer volume level you want to use, stop pressing keys.
The handset or base will use the new ringer volume starting with the next incoming call.
Note: If you set the ringer volume to Off, the handset or base won't ring. Other handsets or base will ring according
to their individual settings.

I'd like to turn up the handset volume so that callers can hear me. I know how to turn up the handset volume so that I can hear the callers more clearly (numbered wheel on the handset). This is a huge problem because at least half of all callers cannot hear me unless I yell into the handset.
there is no headset volume in the list
