you will need to take the keyboard out and clean with warm water.coffee is the worst thing you can spill in there because it gets all sticky, and yes if you take it to a shop, stright away they will say you need to replace it,mind you that would be the right way todo it because if you just wash it you wont no if its going to work till you put it all back, how much will cost?depends on were you take it.keyboards run from about tenpounds upto 25pounds or more depends on what type it is.pluse the cost of the work todo it.
First thing I would ask is this. Was anything spilled on the key board? I had a situation similar to this and I found that my son spilled a Sprite and wiped it up but didn't tell me about it. One way to check this is to hook an aftermarket keyboard that runs off your USB2 port and see if the keys work correctly that way. If they do, I would suspect that something was spilled into your laptop keyboard.
Please follow the steps to disable the Touchpad under XP environment:

In the VAIO Central window, click the System Information tab. On the System Information tab, click the Plus symbol next to Keyboard and Mouse . Under Keyboard and Mouse , double-click Built-in Pointing Device . In the Built-in Pointing Device window, click to clear the Enable box. Click the OK button. In the Built-in Pointing Device dialog box, click the Yes button.
There is not so much that could be done to repair a keyboard. Disassemble the laptop, check the ribbon cable connecting the keyboard to the motherboard. If the ribbon cable is loose, tighten it. If it is tight, replace the keyboard with a new one
A keyboard is nothing more than a collection of small switches under the keys. A liquid will short out between the contacts of the switches and is the same as hitting the key. There are still fluids inside they keyboard circuitry. By using it like this it can short out the keyboard and ruin it. It needs to be taken out and cleaned and dried throughly before it is ruined. (might already be ruined). You can usually find replacement keyboards on places like ebay.com
While I can't find your specific model, this page lists a number of various models and ways to take them apart for different items. Since your laptop is not listed, just find another model in the same design/size format, and that may show you how to remove your keyboard as well:
