durham: putting it in the restricted addressed would result in the blockage of this very site. ie. Fixya.com. But I eventually got the Report Abuse link. It is the Red Flag on the upper right hand side. But thanks for your effort.

I have a lady swearing at me onlineI want to block her but I'm really new to this and I don't know how please help me thank you

You can report abuse via a link on the facebook page (go to the top toolbar and click on the wheel shape, then click report a problem, then click report abuse), You can also block or defriend someone (by going to your page, scroll down on the left to find friends, click the friends link which opens up all your friends, then hover over the friends button concerned, the button with a tick, and then you can select block or defriend). If all these things fail. To not reply to the abuse, just contact your local police if it persists and report harassment (make sure you can evidence the abuse, perhaps by printing out copies the abusive page first).

Someone is emailing me on facebook with abusive mail

Any time you get abusive mail from Facebook, you can report the offender by:

Reporting Abusive Content and Blocking People
To report abuse, please use the proper "Report" link that appears next to many pieces of content on the site. You may also report another user by using the "Report/Block" link that appears at the bottom of a user's profile page. If this does not resolve the issue, we suggest that you block the person by listing his or her name in the "Block List" box that appears at the bottom of the Privacy page.

If you know the offender's real email provider, you can send a Copy of the Offensive e-mail to his/her e-mail provider, by sending a copy to his/her e-mail provider:

For Example. abuse@ hotmail, gmail, yahoo, whatever their e-mail provider .com] but only if you know their REAL e-mail/web-mail provider.

Then
1. CUT/PASTE the offending mail, including senders e-mail address to: Facebook at this Address:
[Cut/Paste this into your browser] http://www.facebook.com/help/?topic=privacy
2. Reporting Spam... Next, look Beneath The Subject (To The Right of: "Back to Messages" and "Mark as Unread", you will want to choose: Mark As Spam. and then Delete).

Thank You For Choosing FixYa~!

If you learn that someone is continuing to make abusive comments about you even after they've been blocked, a friend can report that person on your behalf. Reports are confidential and the user being reported does not know that they have been reported.

After a report is submitted, you will receive confirmation that the report has been received and we will investigate the issue to make a determination as to whether or not the content should remain on the site based on our Statement of Rights and Responsibilities. A Facebook administrator looks into each report thoroughly in order to decide the appropriate course of action. Go to the following link: http://www.facebook.com/help/?faq=13247
