Slides stopped running in the spring and had to be overridden with a drill
SOURCE: transfered Powerpoint file (65 slides) onto Ovation - only got the first slide repeatede 65 times?
Here's a fix I did that worked. I had tried to run Ovation with PPT 2007 first, to no avail. Same problem as described here. I uninstalled PPT 2007 and re-installed PT 2003. THEN YOU MUST bring up Ovation, import your PPT slides, THEN click "Tools", "Clear Show Settings". Ovation will re-import the slides but using the components of 2003 and WALLA! It will work.
SOURCE: Where the chuck holder goes into the spindle
THERE SHOULD BE A THREADED ROD THAT COMES DOWN FROM THE TOP LIKE A BRIDGE PORT MILL LOCK THE SPINDLE AND TIGHTEN THE ROD
SOURCE: sometimes stop advancing. sometimes keep advancing 5 to 8 slides.
the mechanism needs cleaning. it is an almost purely mechanical device and needs greasing. the old grease gets hot and dusty and starts to get sticky. when this happens, the moving parts tend not to move. the mechanism needs to come out for a cleaning and regreasing.
SOURCE: MODEL 760h WILL NO LONGER ADVANCE SLIDES
The KODAK Carousel 760H was manufactured approximately between 1971 & 1981.
The problem you are describing is most likely a broken cycle solenoid "link". This "link" connects the cycle solenoid and the slide change mechanism. Repair parts are still available, but this is a repair best left to a factory-trained technician. Contact an Authorized Repair Dealer.
SOURCE: will not change slides forward/backward, remote focus ok,
Your problem is most likely caused by a broken wire under the control panel or a wire somewhere in the "cycle circuit" that is no longer connected. You should seek out a factory-trained repair dealer who has a schematic that can trace down your projector problem.
