I have had my BlackBerry for about 18 months and have had issues with the battery heating up and draining quickly. This week it would not hold a charge for more than 6 hours. I purchased a new battery two days ago and continue to have the same problem. Do I need to do something differently or do I need a new phone
I think it is a software issue try to reset the phone or update the software of your device if you dont know how let me know i can guide you ,

I have had this problem too. My first blackberry heated up, drained the battery. Took it to the service center, they exchanged the battery and said it is all fixed. The next day, dead cell. It would not take a charge. They exchanged cells with me, updated it, sent me on my way. I was happy, until now. It is doing the samething... Charged it over night, unplugged when it was fully charged, went to work. Got my cell out to check for messages and it was dead. Took it home at lunch to try charger. It wouldn't take a charge. Changed battery and it lit up. Left the cell to charge. It had a full battery when I got home. Unplugged it, checked my messages, sent a few messages, and checked facebook. It started to feel warmer than usual. Great here we go again! Sure enough, by morning it was dead. I have ran out of batteries and paitence with this type of cell!
