SOURCE: lasko ionizer tower fan works but does not blow

I could sometimes get it to start spinning by banging on it. Finally took it apart. Lots of small screws, all small phillips. As I suspected, the "thrust bearing," which supports the rotating components, had become "stiff." I thought that it would be a non-friction (ball bearing), but it is only a bushing, with washers supporting the shaft. With the motor opened up, I greased the bearing with petroleum jelly, and reassembled everything. It is spinning very quietly now. Final comment - this is probably more work than the average fix-it person would want to take on, but it is doable. It took about two hours, start to finish. I could do it in less than one hour now that I know how to do it.

SOURCE: I have a Miele dryer, model T494C. The system

It's most likely one of the heat/humidity sensor tubes that needs to be replaced. This has happened twice to my T494C in 12 years. Miele (or your dealer) will come out and replace it for a cost. Do NOT leave wet clothes (or semi-dry clothes) in the dryer for any length of time when the dryer is not operating. Apparently this is one of the problems.

How to change filter on my Lasko model 5560 Tower Fan Heater?

Question edited for clarity.

They show your model, and if it has a filter (not mentioned in specs), My guess is the you lift up the black piece at the rear.

The manuals are very basic and your model isn't listed. Model 5309 below.

My Lasko 2517 tower fan won't turn on. Have tried

Here is my problem. MY Lasko 4820 Model, is having issues with starting up. Example I turned it on and the rotation stand that moves the tower works. But the fan motor or something realetted is not moving. The fan itself won't move on setting 3, 2, or 1. I don't use the ionizer (I have a smoke detector that picks ionized things and smoke) in my room. I've looked at similar issues or the same and a is different in some way or issue. I've never taken it apart, and one more thing I don't have any solutions because I bought it atva Thrift Store for $29.99 and dident know if someone broke it possibly in the past. No remote either. It has 5 buttons. Middle: Power. Top right: Ion. Botten right: Fan speed/setting (3, 2, 1) Top left: Timer (1hr, 2 hr, 4 hr.) Bottem left: Rotation for whole tower. Please Post anything that may help. Please do NOT respond with "Thats you're fault for buying it at a cheap junk sore" and something related to Criticizing me for getting it at a place that has used items. I know that, just give anything that Will help this issue.

My lasko tower fan gets power n wont blow air

The bearings on the motor are dry and need oil. It's really not made to be oiled, but you may be able to take it apart and get some oil to the bearings if you want to mess with it.

Lasko 2535

Lasko 52" tower fan, model 2535, works fine but has the annoying loud 3 second beeeep when turned on/off, waking us up at night. Have been unable to get at the circuit board to investigate due to non-std screws (regular slot head but with a bump in middle of slot, so slot is filled in in middle of screw head, if you will)
Any thoughts on killing the beeeeping?
