Can't see songs on GPX Mp3 player

I'm Trying to delete songs off my GPX Mp3 player using windows explorer. The files that were showing there I am unable to listen to on the Mp3. The files that i am able to listen to, however, will not show up in windows explorer, Realplayer or winamp. I don't know how the songs were put on the Mp3 because I bought it off of a freind.

What operating system is your computer.XP is the operating system recommended but you need windows media player 10.If you have them both you can move/sync files thru Windows Media Player(WMP) but they have to have a drm licence. If you've got Windows® 98SE, ME, or 2000 Professional. 5 just connect it, find My computer and you should see the player listed, double click and the files should be visible. I would check your friend's operating system to see what he/she used and if any problems occurred.
MTP” mode will only work, when your player is connected to Microsoft® Windows® XP and Windows® Media Player 10. The MP3 Player will only work in “USB” mode when it is connected to Windows® 98SE, ME, or 2000 Professional. 5

Deleting Files,Pictures,Videos,Audio
Books, etc. from MP3 Player/Ipod
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hook up your mp3 player to your computer
Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer"
When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal
Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there.
Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on
"Open" and now your files/songs should be visible.
Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you
do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release,
right click and then click on "Delete"
Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want.
Be careful and do not delete files needed to operate your MP3 player.
Good Luck,
I hope this helps

I want to delete songs from my mp3 player. The problem is: when I plug in the player to my computer the only songs it shows are the ones recently installed. Not all songs show. How do I fing and delete the...

Try browsing through your MP3 player using windows explorer/apple filesystem, and not with any sort of syncing program. The files are likely in a weird spot on the MP3 player. Also, try doing a search for *.mp3 on the drive letter that represents your mp3 player.

Can't delete songs uploaded years ago.

Under windows explorer or my computer, click on the icon for the mp3 player. On the mp3 player, switch between the Usb and Mtp mode (The M button). You should see songs from both modes.

How do a veiw my library on my mp3

Plug your mp3 into the computer using your usb cable. Open windows explorer and click on drive "E". it might be different on different computers but a little playig around should find it. Then by trolling through it you should find all the files available on your mp3. Your problem was created by removing it from the computer without using the safety hardware removal. I still have not found a simple method to rectify this problem.

Remove songs that have been added to device

When your GPX MW3837 is plugged into your PC, it will show up as a drive [mine shows GPX(E:)] in Windows Explorer. Click on that drive and you will be able to delete anything from the MP3 player.
